I was annoyed when I saw the tease on FB as I already have SF releases that were expensive to import, then I saw the art and lack of discs and I'm happy again.

Plus first movie only in 1080p and a repackage of existing UK BD, so not even from a 4K scan? I assume there's a rights issue, but there's no guarantee that someone else will release it over here.

I wonder how the 4k scans of the sequels compare to SF, I was about to start buying up the individual releases of US 4k discs or should I just buy the 1st movie and then supplement with this

It's possible they've licensed the SF transfers, most of the extras on these have been ported over from the SF releases, and were new to those. I haven't gone through everything to see if anything is missing for the sequels though.

Lack of BD copies looks like it comes down to Arrow using a higher capacity disc to get everything on 1 UHD BD. SF Child's Play is 3 discs and most of the extras are missing here. If you like the art and want the booklet, posters and Living with Chucky I'd say this is a good buy when supplemented with SF Child's Play.

The webstore exclusive is blue instead of yellow? The standard yellow makes more sense.

The yellow looks way better, blue looks like trash and don't make any sense.
The Chucky doll box in the movie is yellow so no idea why they would pick blue, no reason to get the store exclusive on this one.
Should have at least offered exclusive artwork if they want us to buy their sh*tty store exclusive
