The thing is that Zavvi have not secured exclusive artwork in the past (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man 3, The Lone Ranger, Maleficent and Monsters University were the same as other countries) so there is no reason to believe that will be the case here.

I agree that Zavvi should update their listings but there always seems to be a conspiracy where Zavvi is concerned which is a bit ridiculous. I don't know how a company can be constantly scheming yet display a high level of incompetence at the same time. It is possible that Zavvi are aware that Kimchi are releasing an edition that is likely to affect their sales but I think it is more likely that Zavvi haven't been provided the artwork or are have simply not bothered to update the listing.
While I read horror stories on here about people's dealings with them from my perspective I've always found them competent. Maybe I'm just lucky but I've only ever had one dented steel and I wasn't made to take pics or any of the nonsense I read on here in getting a replacement.

Oh I'm not totally stupid I know full well the likely art will be the same as everyone else's dude, I'm just hopeful that one day before its too late that they actually try and get what customers want and not what Zavvi are forced to take. They have a warehouse full of steels that no one is buying and this will be another on that pile. Sooner or later that's going to start to have a result on a portion of their profits. They in the past have been too quick to snap up exclusive rights to UK distribution on junk that's just not going to sell well in their bid to be the home of steels, which has resulted in constant sales and Flash sales.

While I'm sure they know about Kimchi etc adding extras the bigger worry should be Filmarena, who are closer to home and who are now producing exclusive steels as well as WWA steels in beautiful slips for very little more in cost. You only have to look at the amounts of people in some of the GB's to see that's a serious dent in Zavvi's sales even with double dippers. [emoji4]

Phew, thanks for the heads up. I just cancelled my order. I don't need ANOTHER steely with this art (and I've had a few issues with damaged Zavvi steelies in the past).

the slip I am sure will be their regular and it will cut right into the design of the shoe like The other country that did the same thing. Instead of doing the 1/4 slip from the top not to hide the artwork, they will do same bottom slip as usual.

happy about my Taiwan !

So you're not expecting the slip to carry on the design like it has for their other recent releases ?

I'm cautiously optimistic that the slip will be quite nice

I don't know how much effort they will put into their slip, but one country just used the regular zavvi format box 1/4 slip and just put the steel into it and shrink wrapped it, so the slip goes up to half the shoe design cutting right into it. Now how they will do theirs I don't know, in any case I think since it is WWA and Taiwan has the 1/4 slip from the top, for me it's was an easy decision = Taiwan

Alternatively they could continue the artwork on to the slip and end up looking one of the nicest.

Anyway it's all speculation until we see what they do.

Just a bit tired with the automatic 'Zavvi is ****' attitude on here

I do like the art, hopefully the colour is as vivid in hand. I just don't like the title-less spine.
Gonna keep my order still tho.

The recent 1/4th slips continue the art.

I honestly don't mind that slipper art, but I cancelled mine the other day anyway... price is way too high for a blind buy.

Agreed, i cancelled mine too as im yet to see the movie. Will pick it up if its still avilable later and cheaper.

@C.C. 95 not familiar too much with Zavvi, but after @mnementh mentioned that bottom front of slip when there is continuous artwork they do design the slip to continue to match the steel...I just saw my copy of Maleficent and true the artwork on the slip match perfectly where it cuts into the steel artwork... so indeed they will probably do a nice one...and yes similar to Good Will Hunting(although they did not get the color scheme down but picture very aligned on that level well done
