Checked my copies of Bambi, Cinderella and Alien and they all have a deep spine slash across the middle of the spine so they are going back. It's hard to see with the shrink wrap on but once you take it off the slash is as plain as day. All three discs are region Free.
Again I've ordered about 50 of their steelbooks to date and this is the first time I've had any damage to them. Sounds to me like seriously sloppy behind the scenes management for so many discs to be reported at the one time as being damaged.

Thanks Harry. Just found a dent in cinderellas face also.. the box has a dent in it. either that or zavvi is trying out a new debossing technique

I've just ordered another copy as knowing my luck by the time they try to send me a replacement it will be sold out

Just got mine and it has a paint chip/ scratch on the front. It's quite weird actually, like residue or something. Anyway asking for a replacement quick before it sells out!! Bambi arrived, luckily it's minty mint!! However has any body noticed that the embossing is slightly off on Bambi?

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say this. I suspect someone is doing it on purpose. I work in the printing trade and I open boxes all the time and I cannot see how you could slash so many discs by mistake. Boxes are sealed a certain way for DVD's or CD's and opening the box would not involve cutting near the discs.

This slash business has to be causing Zavvi a fortune....... It's happening too often, too frequently.

Was worried about getting slashed copies of the Bambi/Cinderella/Brave batch after all these comments but none have a mark on them thank goodness.
We shouldn't have to be dealing with this as an added risk when ordering steels.
Zavvi needs to be having a word with whatever chumps are opening boxes like they are made of diamond or something. I hope anyone with slashed copies get them replaced with mint ones.

The problem is it's happening every release. Without fail dozens of people post about slashes every time there is a release. Simply not on. Either the company is not paying attention to the complaints or it doesn't care less about the damage this must be doing for it's business/customer relationship.......

Got mine today and mine got a spine slash aswell been ages since iv got a steel with one but mine only small so I'm not that fussed, bambi is beautiful my new best disny steel from zavvi beating aladdin IMO

Just checked my two that arrived, both got spine slashes. These slashes are on the shrinkwrap as well so it's a zavvi cut job
