My Replacement Copy arrived today. No spine slash. Now I have a spare slashed copy....what to do with it....a gift probably cuz in not a seller...

you didnt have to return your damaged copy to zavvi to get a replacement? that's new!

Quite the contrary, old sport. I've been ordering from Zavvi over a year. Every time they do a replacement copy they let me "dispose of the damaged copy" any way I see fit. I live In Cali, that's why, Too much $ to ship it back I guess. I usually gift the damaged spares:

Rocky
Bambi
Cinderella
Abe Lincoln vamp hunter
Marry Poppins
....among others

I usually put my business card in the pic so they know it aint a scam and Query right away. I also buy tons of steels. I spend at least $$$ every month. ive aquired 170+ steels this past year since I started collecting, not just from Zavvi but in all. Anyway, they've been doing it for me for like a year cuz ID4 was one of my first Zavvi purchases....

I have to admit I've bought that many steels from Zavvi over the past few months I've had to hold back on other blu-rays I'd want. I wee break would be nice.

i'd also consider myself a premium customer of zavvi, i think i bought way over 100 steels from them in the past 10 months.
luckily i received only 4 or 5 of them damaged. but i always have to fight over return shipping cost- refund with them, which is very annoying.
it think next time i'll try to convince their auto-reply bot to send out a replacement without the return, too.

to keep this on-topic:
i was very happy to get both cinderella steels mint, without slashes. didn't open it yet, but looks gorgeous already through the shrink wrap.

Spent over £100 with Zavvi the past week, emailed them about four times now, same old BS. Computerised emails, spine-slashed Cinderella and Toy Story 3, Bambi has damage too. Now I realise why they receive so much backlash.

The reason I'm not posting this in the retailer thread is because I think all new buyers should be aware of this.

My original order had a spine slash, re-ordered a new one which arrived yesterday happily without the slash. The original is going back. Got Brave steelbook today though.... spine slash. Grrrr....

Just out of curiosity - why is Zavvi showing this with that big "Offer" logo when the price has been the same since the announcement? Is there a discount code or minimum order amount for a discount?

Got mine... very nice glossy steel. Along with Bambi & 101 Dalmatians, these are the best of the recent bunch of Disney animated Zavvi steels I've seen in a while. Aladdin is still the best overall.

I've noticed pretty much all steelbooks that aren't on pre-order are 'on offer'. I tried to order one of the steelbooks with a voucher code I had a few months ago, but it wouldn't work. I emailed zavvi asking why, they said the code wouldn't work because the item was an offer. Hmmmm.....
