Want to get this, but still waiting for my other Zavvi orders to arrive. Want to make sure the trek across the ocean doesn't result in banged up cases. Once Wreck it Ralph arrives I'll have a better idea of how they end up.

I've had about 20 orders from Zavvi so far and all have made it to me in the US without any damage through shipping. My only problem was a spine slash on the jungle book, which obviously did not occur from shipping.

Some people have had horrible luck though, so part of me wonders if the damage doesn't tend to occur more in specific sorting facilities as the package gets closer to its destination and it just happens that the ones mine go through have better equipment and/or more conscientious employees.

So far my one order came in safely, had a tear in the shrink wrap, but as you had said something like that had to happen before leaving the facility. May pick up Mary Poppins before this one, but I'll be watching for cancelations.

Seeing as how I'm a bit of a pedant, I managed to add 500+ of these to my basket and was able to preview the checkout page to test it, which means there can be only two possible outcomes

A) Zavvi's shopping basket is misconfigured and let's buyers add inifinite copies of said item.
B) Zavvi are telling porky pies.

Unlike Amazon and Play.com, Zavvi's website doesn't keep track of stock levels, it is updated manually by their staff which means that there is a third outcome:
