I found a fix for the HMV pre-order situation. When you check out don't use the saved card info, add a new card even if it's the exact same card it should work. For some reason, certain pre-orders seem to glitch and fail when you use the saved card info.

That's correct
I don't get any issues using my debit or credit cards with HMV as I don't save those card details in my HMV account
I never used that option to save card details.

I found that earlier, too. Funnily enough, last time this happened to me it worked the other way around. New card failed, saved card worked straight away. Bizzare.

Noticed that as well, after I missed out on the King Kong preorder. Last 3 preorders went through because I was adding a new card.
Plus it bugs out and doesn't save it anyway, even if I leave a checkmark for that option.

That must be why it always works for me then. I always enter my card details every time. But that was only because my card details never saved like a year or 2 ago
