This is really really stupid from HMV. They are being SOLD, what the heck do they care if it's bulk, a guy wanting to play Santa Claus or the virgin mary??? They get their money, end of story! Really DON'T get the douche attitude. Specially to a man who, I take it, is known among some HMVs. And even more specially, someone representing a community so big and powerful as this one. Could you imagine where would zavvi go without us ninjas?? Yup, damn right.

Anyways, I'm sure David will get us all our copies, if we are all patient. He will get help from other Ninjas. I for one, won't forget his help and the help of all who help him.

I can see it from HMV's perspective though - I went to the Oxford Street store this afternoon (90 minute round trip during my lunch hour -sorry boss!) only to find that all the copies had been sold to a very small amount of people. The cashiers said there was no limit and they would not stop anyone buying (that was probably before they issued the alert to branches) and I know I left there a bit peeved. What's really needed though is some sort of association with HMV, so that stock can be set aside for the GB hosts of HDN and that way a mutually beneficial partnership can be created. Then, limit the stock the branches sell so everyone that wants one, can get one! Or maybe that's thinking too far ahead!! Anyways, great job on your efforts so far, David!

Personally think that they're taking the p1$$, a limit of 3 or maybe even only 2 would make it beneficial for them and the consumer. Even in the on line days when the restriction was 5 they only once brought it down to 3 in my memory. If I had time tomorrow I would look but doubt I'll get out. :-(

Evening all,

I'm afraid i've got bad news. Apparently a memo went round this morning from HMV headquarters telling all stores not to allow any 'bulk' buying - because of this Guilford HMV refused to sell me more than 1x copy (which most were like THIS), basingstoke HMV (my old local manager) allowed me to buy x10 copies, Reading HMV repeated this memo about bulk buying and only allowed me to buy x5 copies.

So now im home after 8 hours + 130 miles with the grand total of 15x copies. I'm not very happy with HMV wasting my time and petrol.

I've just spoken to my local High wycombe HMV manager and updated him on todays journey and he's got me 15x copies put to the side which im collecting tomorrow. He's spoken to Head Office and they've agreed that he can email all stores at the end of the week to see if anyone has any surplus stock which can be forwarded onto my local store.

Rather than relying on HMV I'd prefer to rely on my fellow ninjas to help us out - so I call on any UK ninja near a HMV who's willing to pick up as many copies as they can.

If you think you can help please PM ME and we'll discuss further.

I only have time to visit one store tomorrow, will try another on Wednesday.

I did come across 7x Red 2's (£15), 1x Ninja Scroll (£15), 2x A Good day to Die hard (£5) and casino (£9) all sealed - 1st come 1st serve.

I think there were about 130 on the original GB plus some asked after it ended so would have thought David will be able to get rid of them.
