You can take me off the list and give to someone on the waiting list. My wife just came back from Hong Kong and bought me a copy from there.

Sorry, will have to leave you negative feedback. I can't remove one copy from my Amazon order without cancelling all of them.

Finding someone to take your place is a bit of hassle for me. Could have been easier if you told me maybe a little earlier than 3 days before it's due to ship. LOL

The reserve list exists for a couple of extras that are not yet reserved in case I get any that are damaged, I will have replacements.

Hi everyone, looks like these will be with me soon, which is the good news.

The bad news is that these packages had to be cleared through USA customs. they were shipped via a division of UPS and I'm unfortunately getting bounced between the two of them to answer a question I have asked.

In the past when I received packages from UPS that had to be cleared through USA customs, UPS went ahead and assessed taxes and a "clearance fee". the taxes were minor for a larger shipment, I believe under $10, but the clearance fee was around $40.

Most of the time when packages are sent from abroad, to the USA, entities that pass items to the US Postal Service never assess a tax or fee for the importation of items into the country. But it has been my experience with UPS that they will do this anyway (kind of feels like a money grab to me, LOL).

So anyway, I want to make sure that UPS will not try to charge us, and no additional funds are due before I pass along these items to you - I wouldn't be able to afford this cost out of my own pocket.

I'll keep this thread updated as I find out more information. Worse case, I might delay shipping and invoicing for a couple of days until I know for sure.

Sorry in advance for any delay.

Thanks

Andy, which shipping option did you choose for these orders?

I'm only asking because I have a rather large order placed and if it causes extra fees based on the shipping method, I might just break it into smaller items

That one - it went i-parcel, which is a division of UPS. I-parcel used to handle all express shipping on their own but was bought by UPS in 2014 (which I just found out about).

When it got to the USA, it gets handed from i-parcel to UPS, and they are now treating themselves as separate entities even though they are the same company.

Already spent over an hour on the phone and 10 e-mail messages this AM between the two of them. Very frustrating.

Last response, I was told to ask Amazon.

I-parcel is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They lost a amazon shipment and then fraudulently claimed that it was my fault they couldn't deliver. Impossible to get a straight answer from them. And Amazon logistics in UK just as bad. Today they managed to lose a package from Amz.de even though tracking shows it was out for delivery yesterday. Cost cutting measures by Amazon getting really irritating.
