Hey international members!

I'm hosting a group buy for any of you people out there that are interested in the Son of Batman from Target

Pre-order cost is $18.49 per copy
Sales tax of $1.07 per copy

You'll note that the price will not likely drop further, but in order to guarantee the number of copies requested, I order from Target.com ahead of time and cannot price match. IN ADDITION: On the Dark Knight Returns, it was LATER available from amazon.ca. THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN, and if you'd rather order from there, please HOLD YOUR REQUEST.

Due to the large amount of work for international group buys, including a few visits to the post office and packaging materials, the fee will be $3.00 for the first copy and $1 for each additional. but that TOTAL cost is DONATED TO HDN upkeep costs.

Paypal fees will be included in any invoice sent.

NO Limit, order as many as you want.

Only mint / new copies will be passed on to members here.

Additionally - these steelbooks usually come wrapped in cardboard slips. I'll do my best to inspect them, but I cannot see underneath the cardboard.

Shipping options:
QUOTES are for 1 steelbook ONLY.

I will pack in the following manner - case will be bubble wrapped, in a heavier cardboard box.

Please note - with non-trackable shipping - you the buyer understand that I cannot verify it's delivery - as I leave the choice up to you, this is not my responsibility. Insurance can be purchased through a 3rd party if desired.

I will retain proof of shipping for each package.

All delivery times are ESTIMATES only. New quotes provided as necessary.

First Class International (Box) - with delivery confirm to most countries.

-delivery to most locations - 10 - 14 business days, but may take longer
France - $15.08
UK - $15.08
Canada -> $9.50

Insurance against loss or damage is $2 more up to $100 worth of coverage.

Hey Andy. Received this last week. Only just got round to picking up from the local postal office. Arrived in perfect condition. Many thanks to you and our team of steel hunters :)

Mine arrived a couple of days ago, one unfortunately with a pin dent, the other with a small paint chip. However, it was packed very well and I guess the little imperfections just escaped your attention when packing hundreds of steelbooks for the GB;).

Best wishes,

Michael

As I have expressed to many group buy members before, if you are an OCD collector, I do request that you notify or remind me prior to shipment, and I'm more than happy to very, very closely inspect and triple check your items, or be on the look out if you notify me about a defect that you simply cannot have.

These steelbooks were not only inspected by me, but also the member that drove miles and miles to obtain these steelbooks on your behalf...and you are right, sometimes little imperfections will be missed, or even thought of as non-issues to some collectors.

Now having said that, if you don't believe this damage was caused in shipping (as they were insured), you are more than welcome to return the items for a refund.

Thanks again for your participation in the group buy!

Hi Andy,
your answer does sound a bit harsh to me. Please don't get me wrong. It is not a problem for me and I know that all the GBs are a lot of work. But I always give comments when everything arrives in perfect condition, why shoudn't I do the same, when not everything is 100% perfect? Nevertheless I appreciate all your work and am still happy to have these in my collection.

Best wishes,

Michael

hey Michael,

There is no harshness intended or specified. I would be perfectly fine with those steelbooks in my collection. Just to restate, whenever I get these, I take each one, look over each surface that is visible, and if I do see a defect, I will advise members further. We've gotten steels with spine slashes that were very obvious. Or a dent that makes the steelbook pop out. Those are easy. But paint chips or a "pin dent" (I've also described this as a ding), can be hard to spot, I think we all agree that these things vary steelbook to steelbook.

Members literally drove to a number of stores to get copies. these were super hard to find, and not available from the website, and often these are placed in those hard metal cases and target associates are not always the most careful when putting them on the shelves. In our excitement to get copies, could defects be missed? Certainly.

It could be a large part of the wave have the paint chips - I know I've seen a number of USA matte steels have this problem. It's not an excuse, I'm just mentioning this.

So if you are a collector that expects a "perfect" copy, that definition can vary from collector to collector and I can't simply keep track of every particular nuance that every collector has - and all I ask is to be advised of that requirement when you get the invoice from me.

"Hey Andy, just a friendly reminder, I know these were a chore to get, if you spot a copy that you are going to forward to me with paint chips, please advise."

If you'd like to participate in a future group buy of mine, all I ask is that you do the above so this situation can be avoided between us the next time.

That's all I'm asking, and feedback, either way, is always appreciated, don't get me wrong.

Thank you!

I totally agree with you, it is not possible to detect all these minor imperfections when organizing a huge GB. Sometimes it is not easy to decide, if a dent, scratch or whatever is in the shrink wrap only or indeed an imperfection of the steelbook itself. Thus everything OK between us and I am glad that you spend so much work on HDN and the GBs.

Best wishes,

Michael
