Just arrived via Hermes. This is one wicked looking steel. Have done a "test" by gently running front (still wrapped) over rolled edge of my desk. THE TITLE IS DEFINITELY EMBOSSED. This is not your standard deboss front with embossed title. There is debossing as well, so are we looking at 3 levels of "punchwork" ? Or is that 4 ?

There is 3.

Punch work is whether the steel has been punched in, or out.

So 3. It has been punched in and out, meaning 3 levels of steelbook.

OK, I've now had another chance to carefully examine both my copies. It's just the normal embossing, but does have 2 levels of debossing. It seems that the case front had a slight bulge giving me a false impression. Sorry guys if I misled you.

Embossing on both sides! that is one feat that other steels can't claim. in fact, i dont think anyone here can name 2 other metal cases that have this feature...steelbook nominee of the year!!!
