Decided to watch some 'horror' on a Friday the 13th, this one has come out 'digitally' recently. The film jumps right into the postmodernism of Scream, trying to play on the level of Scream 2 or 3, with self reflecting and the use of the masked killer likeness everywhere. Characters already making fun of it, or not believing real murders at first, as if it's deep into the franchise, only it's not. Added to the mix is a bit of Disturbing Behavior, and 90's jokes, some of which are good. Overall it's very derivative, standing on the shoulders of many better movies, while disrespectfully trying to make fun of the generation they came from, but still an amusing watch in parts, with a few good scenes.

He did the same previously with TUCKER & DALE vs. EVIL, and LITTLE EVIL. Sending up the genre is his thing.
