Amazon boosting the colours again, the images from Zavvi look much more realistic:

I'm not surprised collectors are disappointed with Steelbooks in hand with this kind of thing going on.

I'm kinda torn by this one, loved this movie as a kid, I really like getting 80's films in SB edition's, but I'm not blown away by the artwork. . I am however blown away by the price tag but not in a good way.. if this drops to £9.99 I will definitely pick it up. . Like someone else commented, its one thing to buy a new release for that price but not a back catalogue title.. I bought the conjuring and elysium for around £15.85 each (with codes) on day of release, this price by comparison is too overpriced for me:( I hope we see a drop

I don't see this having a massive price drop at a early stage possible at a later stage if it does not sell well
At most you can only expect from amazon the lowest price possible be £11.99-£15.99 if amazon lower the price

Important factor to consider Cocoon has not been available on Blu-ray in the UK before
its only been available on DVD before this release in the UK/Europe

There was yes a Blu-ray release in USA

This will be the first time its getting a UK/Europe Blu-ray release and it only been released as a steelbook
Cocoon is a popular film classic from the 80's (1985)
So there will be customers purchasing this who not even bought a steelbook before because its a first time UK Blu-ray release

I can see a possibility of this selling out and its not a zavvi exclusive its a general release and its a limited release

Zavvi listing is still not live yet
Amazon is live
Sainsbury is live

Yes when Zavvi listing goes live and is released and you have a code that works you will be able to get this cheaper but if you look at steelbooks that are not zavvi exclusives there prices are usually more than amazon so using a zavvi code in most cases still works out more than getting from amazon (yes there have been a few exceptions were zavvi worked out cheaper than amazon but only a few)
Have you seen the prices Zavvi now have listed for this and the other releases of this range £21.99 (€27.49)EEK!

Amazon is £17.08

Sainsbury £15.99

Zavvi £21.99 not live yet

This is a automatic purchase for me and if your waiting for a price drop you might end up disappointed or even miss out
You wont see this been sold for £9.99

Thanks for the info and links Paul. I've ordered via amazon, its not out till march so I have plenty of time to make up my mind about paying £17 for it.. and to see if it sells out. I don't want to miss it if it becomes hard to find as I would like it in my collection to go with the rest of my 80's SB's.. I hadn't considered all that you said before so thank you:thumbs:

What's up with Zavvi
Have they forgot to make this live to order

Its never been live on Zavvi
I think there is a mistake been made as it should have been live by now

Its live to order on the other websites
