Crap, so you guys think this will go on sale in the future because of all the excess stock?
I am actually not that keen on the extras besides the Steelbook so I would rather wait if it is likely to drop in price.

yeah i didnt make sense to me either it was oop for months before release now all of a sudden theres going to be another 1000 copies. why just not make more and add them before release if thats what there going to do.

You're right, if the 1000 copies is true then I am sure it will be back.
I e-mailed CS to help me add a copy to my order when it was in-stock, not sure what happens now. :S

I hope amazon.de have learned some lessons from all this, because this release has not been handled well at all.

1) In stock/out of stock/available/not available - who knows? It changes every hour of every day. I had the item removed from my checkout basket because it was 'not available' one hour, but then available again the next. Crazy!
2) Incorrect pics of actual product shown.
3) Customers were invited to submit their email addresses for notification if the item came back into stock, but then - back in stock and no emails!

The whole thing has been a bit of mess really. This is how NOT to do a limited release.

Use google chrome, it translates language to English.

All the settings and add to basket buttons are in the same place an an English language web page of Amazon. If you're uncomfortable, better off using chrome.

This feature only works, when the article is more than 24 hours in stock.

If you want a permanent observation you need a sort of "sniper-program" like the price-tool "Amazon Watcher".

My main worry was being able to decipher whether something was "in stock".

'In stock' is fairly easy to spot. That would be Auf Lager under the product images.

The Zippo looks kinda of crappy. They could have done a better job on the Zippo.
