I don't think it is the first G1 'music' steelbook I've ever seen, it's weird that they keep doing that.
But Hooltra's picture does confirm that the documentary is in its original version, which is English & French.
And the good thing for non French-speaking people is, there are English subtitles here, so it'd make sense that they're activated only during French-speaking parts (or English subs throughout both French and English parts, but that'd make little sense).

Many FNAC exclusives (e.g: Disney, Pixar, Marvel films) have had their booklet outside of the steelbook, it's common practice.
In those cases they are housed in a rigid 1/4 slip, here there doesn't seem to be one sadly, but the booklet not being inside the steelbook was something to expect, I think.
