It's not a good idea FAC are doing not showing the artwork of E1/E2/E3
It makes it very difficult to make a decision on which edition to purchase

If it was only 1 edition it would not be as much of an issue but even in saying that customers still need to know what they are purchasing

Those that are getting Maniacs box set regardless to keep sealed it's not as much of an issue but it is for those that want to decide between E1/E2/E3 and if they go with getting E1 and E2 for the free hardbox

But that's the beauty of it, FA wants truly maniac collectors, to buy based on blind faith in them.

What's going down here is nothing short of a disgrace.

How arrogant to expect people to pay big money for something without knowing what that is. The same people that are their bread and butter. Obviously no fcuks are given.

Last time this happened it was Zavvi's Z Boxes and they got slated for it. At least the whole point of that was it was supposed to be a mystery.......

This is just a joke.

My preference would be to have everything (including the hardbox) inside the Maniacs edition, even taking a gamble on the slips but you feel somewhat cheated when you are willing to buy the big one and not be getting the hardbox in addition.
I think somebody said that it won't fit in but why not make it to fit in? It's just tactics again to grab more money. Put every edition into the maniacs set but keep the hardbox out of it, but put the best artwork on the hardbox instead of the maniacs box.
I need to stick to a decision on this now and either go for the Maniacs as I've always said I wanted or just grab the hardbox and it will go nicely with the first release.

If they make the hardbox fit in the maniacs box then they will be changing dimensions and the protector won't work. They're going to piss someone off either way.

They should have looked at their dimensions again and released a set that would hold everything. Of course we both know that would never be on the cards as they've really planned this well to get you one way or the other and by doing what I've suggested would be more time, effort, cost for them. Oh well, one or the other lol.

You can always say item not as described when you get delivery
I can't see the ? showing in the artwork

I do want an edition of this and perferely the hardbox to match my previous one but not knowing the slips artwork is nuts

I'm skint so It's out of my hands and I have no choice at the moment but to wait until thursday to purchase and that's if any editions are still available in the GB by then

This is like Zavvi ? Disney steelbooks from a few years ago but at least with those steelbooks you knew what the title was and artwork was before payment was taken

Do you think people will hold back before seeing the slip artwork? I think most will take the gamble and then just sell them on if they don't like the slips (that we all feel will inevitably be the previous red and white artworks lmao).
It's going to sell out regardless because of the movie it is and the actual steelbook, but how quickly is anybody's guess.

A lot of the earlier Disney steelbooks used to go live for a few min on their website with ? showing some of us used to manage to get an order in and we had to wait 2-3 months before we knew what title we purchased and then later wait for the artwork be shown

Ugh, hate when they (and by "they" I mean all steel retailers that have been guilty of doing the same) do this! :bored:

I've already ordered the steelbook, but was hoping to go for one of the slips too... I'm certainly not going to blindly buy them though, so it's a pass for me.

Have you decided what you're doing yet @Flloydo? I'm still happy to combine my standalone steel with whatever you order.

This will depend on how many Karel is allocated for each edition as to if it will affect the amount of purchases
Artwork not known will make a make a difference to GB as to how much I really can't say.
As amount of available units reduce some might order regardless so they don't miss out

My worry is October 18th is when you those with collectable number can order direct and GB might be closed by then
I don't paid until Thursday October 18th
