It's not really a Show Box Style as The Cover doesn't overlap over the bottom of the Box.
Once Cover is on, it fits on the Box Perfectly and the Box is totally smooth on every side.
They are actually really nice (that is coming from someone who hates show box style)

That's what I thought as well but after looking at the E4 pic above, that looks like a shoe box to me.

That's what I thought as well but after looking at the E4 pic above, that looks like a shoe box to me.

When you have it ''in hands'', it doesn't feel like a Shoe Box. My BR 2049 has become one of my Favorite Boxset in my Collection.

I think it is nice to have Different Design for Boxsets, this way all retailers don't all look the same.

Thing is, this was always going to sell well, the vast majority of FACs always do, especially this one.

And FA know the hype they created with this release and after later posts on their Facebook it seems that maybe our fears of the same crap art there may not happen after all.

But the point is that this is a shoddy business practice and clearly shows people have voiced their opinion on it as Jan has removed his somewhat negative response to someone’s complaint as it clearly has ruffled feathers.

If they do it again, I will spend my money elsewhere.

It’s like buying a car hoping it’s going to be a lambo or something and ending up with a mini metro !! It’s the Zavvi z box thing all over again. Didn’t sell too well in the end did they?

Of course that’s true, as long as they sell they can continue with what they’re doing. It also helps them that this is DP2, and that many (like me) need this after getting their first. But they should just listen to their customers, plain and simple. While there are definitely some that thinks this is fun and who thinks that FA can’t do anything wrong, I’m positive if they put it up for a vote 80-90% of their customers would say to show artwork before ordering. In the long run I doubt this strategy would turn out well for FA if they did it often. Except for the real fanboys regular customers/collectors will at some point be disappointed with what they unknowingly ended up with, and when that reservation sets in sales will slow down is my thinking. Just respect your customers opinions, and you’ll be fine.
