@Jawcrc Are you secretly an undercover FA agent... ? :naughty::LOL::p
. Lol I wish would be better than what I'm doing now lol if it paid. I do like film arena as they hold a special place in my collection. Commando was one of the first premium steel I got on the secondary market and since then that started my downward spiral into premium edtions. I also know how things work. Like I said same issue going on with mondos avengers at blufans people complaining about price but don't look at the reason why. These companies arnt in it to lose money. So logic would say lentis cost 15 bucks to get them from the guy who makes them on eBay. I haven't bought any but have looked at them. So I also do a bit of photo shop myself and 3D rendering and know how long that can take and time is money ain't like someone gonna do it for free for film arena to make money from. And these are are objective facts and not biased by my fac fanboyism hehe:)

Well I know there is someone who sells lentis on eBay there like 15 bucks a peice. So they are adding 8 bucks to the price Not a big upgrade. Yes you can get smart with lenti slips some better than others and they are not much more expensive normally 3 bucks but you also have to look at the fact of how many are purchased for those edtions compaired to purchaseing say only 500-1000. The more you buy the cheaper they get its called bulk buying. say I sale x product for 10 dollars. Profit is say 4 dollars. You come in and ask for 100 no problem but someone comes in and asks for 100000 and wants to get the best deal possible if be more willing to sell for a cheaper price prob 8 bucks because selling them individually would take a lot longer. I mean do you think the 3D rendering they are doing if free as well?

No, but no other retailer charges extra money for a depth lenti instead of a flip flop lenti. If they charge more for a depth lenti, then FA will appear to be in the business of nickel and diming its customers. If they said, "We are charging $5 more because our booklet is now 20 pages longer," I would have the same reaction. They should focus on creating quality products and at least focus more on the movies themselves. If it's THAT much work to create a depth lenti (I really don't know how much work it is), then don't do it. If they can't create them without charging $8 more per item, then don't do it. Leave it to the pros like NovaMedia and Blufans.

When FA pumps out editions solely based on what steelbook stock they have to move (i.e. The Last Stand, Seventh Son, Ted) while putting movies like The Shawshank Redemption on the backburner, that turns off movie enthusiasts. They aren't very good at hiding how much this is a business more than a passion.

If a depth lenti will strain their business model that much, maybe they should secure a large amount of a popular steelbook/movie (ie Deadpool) and create an amazing depth lenti for a cover. By having a larger print run than normal, it will help minimize the cost of the 3D rendering and they will move more product, thus increasing profit while not making them look greedy.

You bring up a good point about other companies and how they release a depth lenti for the same price as maybe They charge more for their flip flops have you thought of that maybe our companies decided to say hey it costs x amount for a depth lenti and we will charge that price for all our lentis without knowing the specifics of novas prices ex how much they pay for flip flops conspaired to depths then you can't say they arnt price gouging for there flip flop lentis. I personally think that they said hey it costs more to do s depth lenti ha. A regular flip flop and we have had a lot of feedback of why don't you do depths and when they go people complain about a price diffence. And having the same reaction about the booklet being log we so it costing more is again a stupid argument 5 bucks is a bit extreme for 20 printed pages but it being the same price as the one that's not as long is also abserd as well. They can have all the passion they want but if hey put a product out that they lose money on then they go out of business simple economics. And so what if hey decide to make face of left over stock what's the matter with that. Just because you don't like the movie dosnt mean there isn't 500 others who do who wouldn't mind owning it in a premium release. I would have bought seventh son or last stand from nova as well if they did a premium release of either. How much was novas batman can superman lenti slip ? I think in here is was somewhere around 53 bucks with gb fees and such. Didn't here any complaints about price then? But now film arena doing a depth lenti and its gonna be a bit more here is every on complaining.and the depth lenti from nova isn't even a 3D rendered image at least fa is going all out for theirs

After reading the comments i think its simple. If its going to cost the collector 200 czk more for a different style of lenti then stick to the flip flop because a majority of collectors won't be happy with an increase in price.
Kimchi don't charge extra for depth lenti.
Anyway can we see the full slip please:thumbs:

The value for money that Film Arena offers has always been a huge appeal for collectors. The prices have already started to rise and if they start bumping prices further with little extras like this then it is going to leave a bad taste in the mouth.

That's a bit true but then again we pay extra for these little things to start with. I think that's the majority of he reason people buy premium edtions is for the extras that come with it. They tried to do the 3D depth with reverent which would have put the price at 1113czk compaired to 913 group buy price that is. That's not much more than novas batman can superman that to start with and it would have been a full slip lenti unlike the up and down kind like they use I like the full slip ones myself better plus it would have had all the other stuff as well that the editons came with. It goes the same way when a release has the 3D disc as well the edtion is more because of that.

Now with kimchi not charging extra for their depth compaired to their flip flop maybe they again took the price of the depth one and just made all their lentis that price instead of having to differnt price points for their lenti editions. So when they do a flip flop one they make a bit more.

Not a figure i think FA might do a 3D lenti for Deadpool ;-)
um, lenti's are 3D by nature anyway - that depth being the 3rd Dimension....

Or do you mean its a full 3D, static, image with no transitioning (think the Incredible Kimchi lenti B....transitions from superhero outfits to normal, or Frozen kimchi where Elsa's power sparks emerge)

Yep Jan just confirmed it is the Hardbox, shame really though would have loved for a Maniacs version.
forgive me but, WTF :wow:

You're really going out of your way to defend FA. I think if they upped their game and offered packages that compared to Blufans, Kimchidvd, or NovaMedia no one would complain about price. As it is, ordering FAC from their website results in a price higher than these other retailers after shipping anyways. Many of the FAC releases I see have artwork that just bore me (Independence Day and Crimson Peak) and very rarely do they have WEA steelbooks. The quality of the titles varies greatly and the lentis...well, we've talked that one to death. I know FA is relatively young, but if they could just tweak their FAC line and make it a "must have" line (IMO) instead of a "pick and choose the good titles" line, they could easily charge more and no one would complain. I think Manta Lab is doing it right, they are younger than FA but they are innovating and have some awesome lenticulars. Yes, the price is a little bit of a put off, but the quality of their releases makes up for it.

If a Deadpool steelbook, single disc/no 3D, is 1099 CZK in the FAC because of them actually trying to have a good lenticular magnet (I'm usually pretty happy with their current lentis), it'll be an absolute travesty.
