STILL SURPRISED that this title as a new Fox title is not being shared with HMV or allocated to HMV in the first place as an exclusive, just like other recent new Fox titles in SB such as:-
THE SCORCH TRIALS, THE MARTIAN, THE REVENANT, FANTASTIC 4 and AGENT 47.

Also surprised that Zavvi have allegedly pre-sold their reported allocation of 4,000 pieces in such a short period of time particularly as this is not WEA and is available in other territories so I imagine we are not talking about a shortage of this steelbook but a figure in the tens of thousands.
Just my personal feeling (and does not reflect the view of . . . ) but waiting to hear news that Zavvi only had/have 2,000 pieces to sell with a further 2,000 made available at HMV soon.
We shall see.

The other possibility, and just spitballing here, is that maybe there's an agreement in place that allows Zavvi to have exclusivity with this new Fox title while HMV gets exclusivity with THE HATEFUL 8 - an EIV title which one might expect to be with Zavvi - like other recent EIV titles - (though admittedly all catalogue titles) such as:-
THE CROW, THE DEPARTED, GANGS OF NEW YORK, HUGO, DREDD, LOCKOUT and the upcoming(?) SAW, AMERICAN HUSTLE, BLADE 2 & TRINITY and SILVER LININGS.

With Tender Feelings: So just gone in to cancel the Star Wars steelbook and then discovered a depressing fact. I swear to god I ordered this on the day it was available, apparently now it's not on my orders.

Even though I discovered I had an incomplete transaction, I still can't shake the feeling that I did actually complete one order of this without a discount code. I can confirm I never had a confirmation email and I still wonder if my order did just disappear. I'm just going to wait to see if it comes back in stock or order it from another site and county,

I'm sure this will come back instock as Zavvi like to play games with us and also a lot of people have cancelled theres and going for amazon one's. I'm awaiting what FA do with there before I decide to cancel or not.
