The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society. Now an experienced covert-agent, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.

Game Informer has revealed the cover to their upcoming May issue which features a brand new title front and center, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. A follow-up to 2011’s “Human Revolution,” the game is set two years after its predecessor and sees the return of Adam Jensen. The magazine describes the title as follows:

“Set in 2029, Adam Jensen returns and joins forces with an Interpol-funded task force aiming to hunt down and capture augmented terrorists in a world that now hates and fears transhumans. Jensen has a new suite of augmentations that allow him to cleverly navigate stealth, combat, and social interactions, but how Jensen chooses to solve every problem is entirely up to you.”

The outlet also reports that the title will answer a number of burning questions left in the wake of “Human Revolution” as well as some new augments that will allow players to “remote hack electronic objects, fire off nano blades from a distance, and surround themselves with a nearly indestructible nanoshield.”

Eidos Montreal is developing the title, which is currently without a release date. Deus Ex: Manking Divided will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC upon release. You can check out the preview video in the player below and also click on the image above to see a bigger version.

This looks SO good, but sadly, the first game is still sitting in my massive backlog! Hopefully I can one day get to Human Revolution so I can play Mankind Divided.
Same here dude... I bought the LE in a sale and played about 10 mins of it, then some other game came along and took over my life. Hoping to get around to playing it properly at some point!

The problem was that Human Revolution came out right when I was in the middle of shooting Quiver. By the time Quiver wrapped, both Enslaved and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow were released and jumped right into them.

I think we can all agree that's a good enough excuse for missing out on HR! A lot better than mine anyway... I can't even remember what game I played instead. :p
