If this ends up being a limited embossed run I am betting the price will go near $75 when its sold out. This is cheap right now. If u think this is expensive take a look at some recent Korea steels.

Not really that expensive for a new release. Pretty typical price imo

19.99 + 16.99 = 36.98 pounds = about 60 dollars. yeah pretty expensive imo.

yeah i don't buy korean steels really. japan sometimes, and taiwan as well. but yeah foreign steels have been pretty expensive recently. but usually come with extras like life of pi did, and cool slip covers lol

You chose the premium shipping option from zavvi im guessing? Standard international shipping is only £1 if you didnt know that already. I know some prefer tracked but £16 is big difference lol.

i would choose the one pound shipping, but i've been told by a few to stick with the tracked, as lots of problems can arise with the other. so im just trying to be safe lol.

zavvi. and I've got a few orders with that shipping. aladdin. and now this one. and can't cancel and redo, cause aladdins gone LOL.

you can cancel part of your order but don't know if it will make any difference to shipping price, zavvi usually ship everything individually (standard shipping) even in a big order in my experience maybe different if you paid for tracked shipping

Im not sure that the best use of money, especially if its for only one steel. Ive ordered about 15 steel from zavvi using the standard shipping and had no problems. It might take a little longer to get to you but its not risky imo. Their CS isnt up to par yet but I dont think they will hang you out to dry if something was lost in post.

Also you can order this from Amazon and it will be £19 including postage. Their CS is awesome so it best to get it from them imo

would you know how amazons packaging is by any chance? and thanks for the info. :scat:

16.99 is the delivery charge and is a sunk cost that should not be considered when purchasing a good. It's the same as the fixed cost of having to drive to the supermarket for groceries. It's a cost you have to pay but not really part of the good itself since it is a delivery expense. And at that price you can easily buy a whole new title from Zavvi as they ship their goods in very protective packages.

But you are paying the extra for peace of mind which is a fine reason too.

Zavvi's 9.99 shipping cost to India (7.99 most of the parts in the world) actually does not justify as parcels essentially reach after 3 weeks at least (to India at least). Tracking is there, which is not that proper from what I have observed from my past orders. So if you are ordering single steelbook, This does not justify at all.

But on other side, If you are ordering multiple steelbooks, lets say 5-6, and even with all different release dates, zavvi works out cheaper, as shipping cost remains same regardless of number of items in your order.

Amazon UK removes VAT for international orders, so item becomes cheaper at that time itself. Normal shipping cost is pretty good as well. And With many of my orders, I have received items in flat 3 business days by normal shipping method to India. Yes, 3 business days.

Finally it all depends upon packing material, and in that area both amazon and zavvi are progressing. Both are using special packing materials for delivering steelbooks. So that's good sign.
Certain risks like parcels, getting stuck with customs, damaged or lost are always there with international delivery. That we need to consider always.
