NOOOO!!!!! I just woke up, found the thread post that it was coming back live a couple of hours ago, and found out it was already gone!

Really though? Back at 5am MST, 4am PST? I know it is a UK company, but with our plain flat back, we needed a shot at this... *sob*

Wow. That really sucks. The last thing I did before I went to bed at 2 am was check if it came back in stock. First thing I did when I got up at 8 am is check again. If I had known it was coming back at 4 am I would have just stayed up and waited. This is...disappointing.

I think the point was that even if they had waited until 9 am PST it would still only be 5 pm UK time, which would have made it more reasonable for both time zones. Considering that a large portion of Zavvi's Steelbook consumers are in the US, that doesn't seem that ridiculous. Or, since it was going to be at such a precarious time, maybe a little head's up from Zavvi for the rest of us, especially since they seem to be frequenting the forums now. I think it's just that the perception is that a large cross-section of dedicated patrons were given no consideration. Even if that is not the case, that is how it comes across.

I think it's shocking that they updated the stock on the website during their standard office hours and then closed the office for the night and went home. Surely someone could have stayed back to facilitate all the potential sales for this limited number of additional steelbooks across the US, drip feeding the inventory onto the website over several hours.

Oh, what's that? It was just so your particular time-zone was taken into consideration. Well I mean, I doubt folks in those other five US time-zones really care for Doctor Strange, right?

Remind me again when Wreck It Ralph goes live?

Wait, what? Isn't it an 8 hour time difference between Burbank, CA and London, UK or am I missing something?
It's 5 hours difference on the east coast and 8 hours on the west, to my knowledge.

OK, so this is a UK steelbook, sold by a UK retailer in the UK (with the option of international shipping). Why shouldn't they use an UK time for their schedules? Of course, it's unfortunate for some but I don't think you can blame @zavvi for catering to their region foremost?

I get the frustration, everyone should have equal chances of getting one.

But @SteelCollz said it best, Zavvi are as you said it a UK retailer and unlike any major US online retailer excluding Amazon, they don't even ship internationally or care for over-seas buyers. I would've loved Best Buy's Force Awakens steel, but they don't ship abroad and prices on eBay are outrageous.

Ultimately Zavvi can't cater for every US time zone, it would be unfair to do so for some and not for all.

As disappointed as I may be that I missed out on the restock, I didn't say that Zavvi wasn't within their rights by doing so. I simply stated that the perception to a large cross-section of dedicated patrons may come across this way, especially those who shop from the Zavvi US site. There is no need for snark or sarcasm. We're all on the same team here.

And @javiermendoza, 9am PST to 5 UK IS 8 hours. That is what I said.

Perhaps Zavvi should try to give people a heads up 24 hours in advance. They've done so in the past so I can't see why they can't do it again
