For those of you actually able to take advantage of the 50th anniversary special being filmed in 3D, you’ll be pleased to know that The Day of the Doctor will be available in 3D on the Blu-ray home release.

The DVD version on the other hand will only be available in the standard format. Although that’s more than likely still the version of choice for most.

In Doctor Who TV’s poll earlier in the year only 26% of the readers polled said they could actually benefit from the special being broadcast in 3D.

Both the DVD and Blu-ray are currently scheduled for a UK release on 2 December 2013.

Watch it first cancel later I am not that fond of Matt Smith's Doctor .

John Hurt is an unsung cinema hero in my view .

David Tennant IS MY kind of Doctor . Main reason for ordering .

I am so so HAPPY the best Doctor EVER closely followed by Mr's Pertwee, Troughton, Baker and Cushing.

Aso little worried as well.

Matt Smiths casting was the right choice 5 years or so further into his career.

Peter Capaldi I just don't know I have a strong inkling that he will tie up the end of River Songs story and HE will be the older Doctor that she was expecting to meet in Silence in the Library . Sorry the Whovian in me rambling.

No not at all. Yes, I remember that. Not too sure of Capaldi either but willing to give the man a chance. At least this destroys any theory some had that the Doctor was getting younger (In the new series)

The writers have been very smart about tying all ends regarding the whole River Song story. I'm certain they won't disappoint. But for now...We get Tennant one more time!

I gave Matt Smith a try he was hindered by the writers still writing the scripts I felt for David Tennant. He was such a hard act to follow .

I have total faith in John Hurt the man is a genious .

Carapoldi I did enjoy his performance in Torchwood The Children Of Earth IF you haven't seen it well worth a watch the best Torchwood in my view :movie:.
