It took me a good 20 minutes to get the glue off. Had to make sure I didn't use my finger nails and scratch the hell out of the steelbook. :D

Totally agree about this glue thing. They've managed to sort out nasty scratchy card only to replace it with "gloss"paper but then glue sticks to said paper like s* to a shovel. Usually resort to tape to remove last remnants and then a tiny bit of tape inn the J-card. Comes off Steel no problem mind.

I can confirm that this release is NOT region free. Comes up with one of those funny messages when I try to play it with my player set to A.

EDIT: Can this be added to the OP as this information is very useful for non-UK members.

Wow these master of cinema steelbooks look fantastic. Which they were region free. I guess i will just add them to my unopened collection.

Amazon has it for slightly more at £10.14, but if you live somewhere where VAT is removed, it comes to £8.45, which is less than the price BestMedia is selling it for at £9.99. FYI to anyone interested in ordering it to the USA :D

I just got this today from Amazon.co.uk, and like other posts I saw, the glue on the front is horrible. If people didn't use their nails to get it off, what did you use? It's bad enough on mine that a little bit of the glue seems to have nearly ended up inside the steelbook.

I contacted Eureka! regarding the glue problem back when I got it over a year ago, and they suggested the following:

"Sorry for the delayed reply. There was a problem at our manufacturer's, where the wrong glue was used on this particular title. We apologize for the problem here (especially on such an important release) -- I'd suggest using some kind of product which gets rid of adhesives; in the U.S. we have something called "Goo Gone" which does the trick without damaging the product, and is citrus-based. Maybe this will help? Again, our apologies for this snafu on the release..."

I didn't have this problem with the other Eureka! steelbooks. I thought to would be good to contact them before trying anything insanely stupid.

Thanks for that.

Goo Gone wouldn't stain matte finish steelbooks like this though? Just making sure before I even attempt to use this.

I don't remember what I used, but it was something similar. I was worried before trying it, but it worked like a dream. At least this suggestion comes from directly from Eureka!. You could always drop them an email, and if they tell you to use Goo Gone and it doesn't work out for you they might be prepared to send you a replacement if they still have this one in stock.
