At least the title is on the front :)
Can see where the designers are coming from regarding the very long title on the spine interfering with the artwork though I do feel that the spine nevertheless does look a bit strange and naked as it is.

RE: NUMBERING HIGHER THAN 4,000 - if you get a chance you may like to take a look at the thread for this year's "Metropolis" steelbook release where a reply from Eureka to my query about this very matter is included and explains the situation regarding the numbering of that steelbook.

RE: "City of the Dead" - unfortunately the only way I was able to buy this atmospheric gem was on an SD Blu-ray compilation, about three years ago, called "Ultimate Shockfest" which included this film and another 19 horror films - on one disc - and as you can imagine the quality is not great, though it was acceptable for under 17 quid at the time.
"From Beyond the Grave" would be most welcome to join the earlier "Dead of Night" (already released as part of the Studio Canal Dated Spine Classics Collection)).
"FBtG", something of an homage to"DoN", is the best of the best of the horror anthologies . . . IMO.

If this is limited to 4,000 copies, how come mine is 4080?
This has happened before with other releases. The company will print more copies that's they need for promotions, repairs, etc. They should really give out the numbers below 4000 but it looks like they have released some of the higher numbers by mistake.

Since we display most of our steelbooks with the spine facing us, a title-less spine is somewhat of an annoyance. Almost feels like there's an empty slot on my shelf between steelbooks lol. Gorgeous steelie, though.

Patiently waiting to get a second copy for around the 12 quid mark . . .

Anyone know if
(a) the lowest price for this is still a penny shy of 15 quid (Amazon) or
(b) if this is due an Amaray as well as a steelbook release ?

Or is this another "Maltese Falcon" (1941), "Re-Animator" (1985), "Grand Hotel" (1932), "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" (1971), "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" (1948), "Basket Case: The Trilogy" (1982, 1990, 1991), "Rurouni Kenshin 1,2,3" (2012, 2014), "Cocoon" (1985), "Streetcar Named Desire" (1951), "The Jazz Singer" (1927), "Dick Tracy" (1990), "The Rocketeer" (1981) and possibly others I can't remember that have only had a steelbook release (so far) ?

Amaray release is sometime later this year if it's still happening that's what the company who did this release said a few months ago on their Facebook page
They decided on purpose do do a Steelbook first before any Amaray release

If it's selling well I doubt you will see any price drop and Zavvi would be best option for that to happen
Amazon rarely do price drops for Steelbooks

Note this should include the corrected disc they have been replacing for customers recently

If you still have the steelbook with the previous disc you can contact their customer service ([email protected]) to get the replacement disc

There was errors noticed at the end of the film on the original blu-ray and they created new discs to correct this
