I bought that zbox and what a load of rubbish it was to apart from the badge that is, now they have dispatched them they pull this,
it's the very last time I get fooled like this, I have spent a fortune over the years with zavvi, 45 pages of steelbooks that iv'e bought from them and have 15 pre orders with them right now, i'm thinking of cancelling all of my pre orders i'm that disappointed with them at the moment.

Iv'e just sent this message to zavvi.......

I just wanted to say how disappointed I am with zavvi right now, I bought this with a zbox because I was led to believe that this was sold out and I wouldn't be able to get it any other way then after you dispatch the zbox you go and put it up on your other site the hut at a reduced price, do you know or even care how your LOYAL customers (if you look at my order history you will see I am a loyal customer) feel when you rip them off like this, I don't expect you care or even if i'll get a reply from you, i'm seriously thinking of cancelling all of my pre orders i'm that disappointed with you and i'm not one to usually complain.
I think many people here feel exactly the same, myself included. They really treat their customers who have spent tons of cash on their site like idiots and they treat their loyal customers with no respect whatsoever.

I run a business and the prime goal is to earn maximum profit, turnover is great, but profit is what counts. However, one of the main points in business, if not the main point, is to ensure customer satisfaction. If you do a job/ sell to the client and they are not too happy with the service provided, you must have measures in place to ensure that you rectify the problem wherever possible to please the customer in order to gain their trust and secure repeat business in the future. Repeat business is key to success.

Now, Zavvi on the other hand are in the grab the money quick game whilst they have a foothold in the steelbook market. Nobody can deny that they were the leaders in the steelbook game, Disney is all I need to say on that. But their business model in regards to customer service / care is frankly, ridiculous.

We all know their bad points so I'm not going to repeat myself as I have vented many times about them in the past and like @ghost1 and many others here, we, the paying customer have been milked by them, and they know it. But what's wrong is the attitude from them is that they seemingly carry on with their bad practices and get away with it.

This I think is going to backfire spectacularly on Zavvi and you can see that the tide is turning on them slowly but surely.

The Zavvi defenders seem to go quiet when something like this happens, which does puzzle me at times, because they can't deny that Zavvi are doing wrong by them also.

I'm starting to waffle on now, but my point is Zavvi will lose a substantial amount of customers and in turn money if they don't get their act together. The likes of FA are taking a chunk of the pie in this market rapidly and you can see blatantly on these forums the amount they are taking from Zavvi is surging. And that's just one company!

WAKE UP ZAVVI/ THE HUT & SORT IT OUT!! [emoji35]

Peace!

The strangest thing about this thread is that people think Zavvi cares...at...all...

Anyone who hasn't read about endless problems so many customers have had with zavvi in particularly the last year. I mean so many people getting damaged items, the ridiculous merry go round just to get a response and replacements. Also the delayed steelbooks and even certain ones just getting cancelled for no reason, like Sleepy Hollow steelbook, what did like 10 people manage to get it?
The latest insult that was the zbox 'lucky' dip :(

So why this latest odd decision from them is astounding people, I don't know. It doesn't make any sense to have this on the Hut website. It really doesn't but sadly I am not surprised by them all anymore

Sent a rather damning message to Zavvi regarding their conduct earlier this evening..............does any company out there suck as much as they do?
The people who work in Zavvi CS probably won't work directly for them so all they'll be able to do is pass any complaints on to their supervisor/manager who again will only be able to pass it up the chain within their own company. The client, Zavvi, may not even ask for complaints to be passed on. I speak from experience here as I have worked on a few CS desks and most clients couldn't care less.

I'm still worried how they'd ship that keychain along with steelbook...
There's two inches of empty space lengthwise in a Zavvi white box if the steelbook is put at one end of the box.

But I'm still worried about receiving an undamaged steelbook in that configuration :cautious:

To add insult to injury I wouldn't be surprised if all these orders never get honoured (I remember this happening a lot with the Hut-'selling' out of stock items only for them never to get the stock in the end. The World's End and Kick Ass 2 anyone?)

So I'd be wary of cancelling a Zavvi order in favour of these. There's always a chance they won't even have these come release date.

I've kept my Zavvi order and will see what happens at despatch time.

Same here, I got a feeling this Hut version won't be honoured.

This would of sold out by now considering the price, so I think they haven't got many allocated to them if any at all.

Will watch this one closely and be preparing my letter of complaint when and if the time comes.

I know that a company can allocate its stock as it sees fit but it's a sorry state of affairs, especially if you are one of the many people who would not think to check The Hut or been made aware of it via this site or one like it.

To be safe yes I would keep your Zavvi order and if both turn up you can then arrange the dearer one for a return and refund or keep both if you wanted

As to the stock I would say there is plenty available as it originally sold out on Zavvi in 1 hour 20 min
In my opinion no way they sold 2,500 in that time and its also still available to order with a Zbox and has been since day one so that means the sold out on Zavvi website is not correct
How they allocate unsold stock and where they sell is their choice

Its possible of course that at some stage the amount of orders be more than available stock that happens with all retailers but more of a risk with Hut/Zavvi due to them not having a live stock system online

I expect my order to arrive I just hope it will be in mint condition as if its not 100% then I won't be happy
I just hope The Hut will use the same packaging as Zavvi even though its the same company as some Hut orders are shipped in a cardboard mailer instead of the white boxes

When I see my Debit Card been charged and then shipped that will be fine with me
It don't matter to me if I order using the Hut or Zavvi websites as long as I get what I want and if one is cheaper then that's a positive for me

Its not released until 10th August so its still possible it might also show up on Zavvi website before or after release date
At the moment its not sold out on Zavvi as its available with a Zbox
They just decided to stop orders of the steelbook on its own on Zavvi after 1 hour 20min on the day it went live

So for me The Hut selling the steelbook on its own instead of Zavvi makes no difference to me as it means I could do an order of just the steelbook as I don't want ever any Zbox

As a rule of thumb, regarding any doubts, it's worth bearing in mind the fact that Zavvi are owned by The Hut group so they are surely responsible for the poor practices exercised by them but seem to do nothing to rectify the situation. What does that say about The Hut group??????

I think the hut will honor the orders, got a feeling this is all to do with the lack of zbox sales. Making you buy zbox to get a steelbook, this drives people mad and they end up going else where, like mondo etc. Most people are not going to double dip, and i bet they have had loads of cancelled orders.

get the feeling zavvi have an amount for z-boxes with steel allocated and if they dont sell whats left over goes out as hut orders myself, that way zavvi can still say is sold out can hope no one catches on.
I also suspect will all be shipped out of the same building just be different packaging according where people have bought from.

but it is bad that a company can list something as a 'zavvi' exclusive when in fact is what is known as a hut group exclusive really not just zavvi as listed.

I wonder what trading standards would have to say about it?
personally i think they are breaking the trade descriptions act as they say is a zavvi exlcusive and cleary it is not, but its going to be upto some to be bothered to phone up and ask the question.

personally as this does not effect me i can't be bothered but they could be setting a bad preicdence for future steels though as a thought.
