does anyone has any info if the transfer used will be the same as the previous UK release? cause PQ was really awful on that one, especially when watched in 3D

I did hear that the transfer was pretty Dreddful.

I assume this will be the standard 3D/2D UK disc, in which case I'm not sure about this one as the 2D picture isn't as good as the French separate 2D version

I thought the Japan version was the best PQ?

I have the Japanese SteelBook but haven't opened but found the PQ on my French version really good as it's on a separate disc.

If it's PQ you're after the best are the Japanese steel or the French 2D disc.

I'll be getting the Zavvi Dredd steel purely for the art and to add to the collection.

Don't own a Dredd steelbook.but I do particularly like the Japanese version.will be getting this one,regardless of artwork,as its a good movie,and well worth having in my collection

I agree, it's an excellent 'old school' action/Sci-fi movie and one of the few films of recent memory that actually deserves a sequel!

I have the French tin and the Japanese steelie. The 2D transfer isn't what I'd call reference on either, although for the most part it is excellent. There are several scenes where the PQ nosedives, it becomes so grainy and noisy it looks like VHS, but apparently this is due to the cameras used and not a fault of the transfer.

If this release includes a DVD (meaning it will have two disc holders inside) I'll bite and stick my French discs in it. The French tin is beautiful but it looks retarded on the shelf next to standard sized cases

As far as I'm aware if you want the beset 2D version the Hong Kong version is the one to buy. It doesn't have the 3d version as far as I'm ware but this the whole point is that it's a reference for the 2D version.
