I even had a damaged one a couple days before. Had a dent on the bottom. It was there before it shipped, you can tell these thing with the type of dent on the bottom of the steel.

I even had one gone out of the box. The glue came undone. I have never even contacted them. Their website is condusing with the right way to contact them. i am not going to call them.

they answer emails every 2 days
i usually just phone even though it cost a little extra to do so.

Received mine on Tuesday. Both in perfect condition. I've actually never had any damaged Steelbooks from HMV, I'll just consider myself lucky and knock on some wood.

They send me Machette out last year. It was re-sealed in a poly bag with a dint bottom right corner. To me it looks like HMV had a return from a customer as damaged then just sold it on a new. Disgusting for a major shop to do this,I expect this behaviour on ebay but come on.

Well after a very friendly email from a friend, I have changed my artwork to this. I am really happy with it now. I think the other picture goes with that "hammer" picture better.

Love the Mondo poster art.
Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind seeing Steelbooks released using the artists' posters from Mondo as the cover art all the time.

I'm hoping to get a little Drive shelf set up soon. Got my HMV exclusive steel, the standard UK Blu with slipcover, the Futureshop exclusive slip is on it's way (thanks biscuitnoir), and the Fnac exclusive box is pre-ordered. Now I'm just praying that someone makes a Driver figure... that would be SWEET!!
