Thanks for this.

What I would say to anyone willing to help is to hold fire just at the moment.

I'd hate to see anyone left holding extras that they can't shift (though I suspect that'll be unlikely giving the hype over this one now).

I'll update the GB thread over the next few days to confirm the plan and hopefully we'll get a clearer picture of whether this is coming into all stores and in what numbers :)

A man with a plan. I like it :scat:

Just saw the HMV advert/commercial for this on TV, basically saying it was in stores on Monday. It very clearly showed the Steelbook, and I think they may have even mentioned the word 'Steelbook' too. So I'm guessing it will at least be in a few stores on release. :ohno:

The situation seems to be that there were a higher number of preorders than usual for this release, which meant that the online allocation was depleted.

Apparently though, the steelbook will be readily available to buy in store on the 30th.

From HMV's official Twitter account.

"All exclusive online allocations have gone! 30th January the Steelbook is released in store though :)"

For UK buyers at least, this is not going to be hard to find in store.

I've posted this too, last week. But some stores still don't know if they do get stocks. :(

Waiting.

Yeah, I linked to that tweet back on page 10, but people still seemed to be doubtful, so I thought a bit of fresh info may be appreciated. :)

Ah ok, I looked a few pages back to see if anyone else had mentioned the tweet, but didn't go back as far as p10. :emb:

My own opinion based on everything I've heard and read is that there'll be no shortage in shops, and all those stores that normally carry the steelbooks will have this one too. The allocation for shops would have been reserved early in production, and won't be affected by the online sell-out.

I think The only shortages might be caused by frantic steelbook collectors wiping shelves clean of stock.

If the stores' allocation have been reserved early on and not touched by the online sales, what is to stop the stores from overpricing the steelbook due to the perceived demand generated by the online shortage. Sounds kind of fishy to me  Just saying...

nothing can stop them because it's called capitalism

*MESSAGE TO GROUP BUY PARTICIPANTS*

As it's looking more likely this will make it to stores, please can I ask everyone who has signed up for the Group Buy to keep an eye on the GB thread for updates, etc over the next few days :)
