Personally, I believe this one would follow the same path as Predators more than Scott Pilgrim because of its lack of inside art. I place Scott Pilgrim higher than Predators due to the inside art and the nicer sparkly glossy red paint on the cover art.

It hit £40 about 2 weeks ago, but it's going for £24-£30 at the moment. And the stores apparently have plenty (dozens each apparently), so this'll drop for a while, before heading back up once it totally sells out.

Don't forget the instore items are going to have security tags. The clean copies were ordered online.

I think Pred was released in 3 countries with the same Play artwork inc the UK logos. SP sold out a couple of weeks after release.
This release is going to be rare especially the one without tags!

What sort of resolution was the pic you used? Though would be nervous about pushing the steel off without bending it

The tags usually come off cleanly with a bit of patience though.

And all the online orders come with square order stickers on the front, which also stretch the the shrink wrap a bit when you peel em off. So I'm not sure there's much in it as far as 'mintiness' goes.

I rather be faced with the sticker than that wrapped round tape

Bit like defusing a bomb. One wrong move and... arrgghhh!

Finally got an e-mail reply after 4 days:

"We're really sorry, but the suppliers have now informed us that this item has now been discontinued, and they are not planning to manufacture any further copies.

We are going to try to see if we can get the item from an alternate source for you for a further 30 days. If we aren't able to get any more stock, then we will send you another email to let you know that your order has been cancelled. If we are successful we will let you know when the item is on its way to you."

ugh..gotta wait for 30 days, i doubt i'll get my copy now, was the first time i ordered from them also

Opened my copy to watch last night and found it had some nasty scrapes to the back of the steelbook under the card backing (which looked undamaged). Scary to think that a sizeable % of all those perfect-looking sealed steelbooks will show flaws when you take off all the packaging. Zero chance of a replacement from HMV on that one, I'd say!

The tape is easy, it's the security tag it covers that's the bugger. Hopefully they've put it on the right hand side, much easier to remove there.
