In fact I wish Play.com would use a similar packaging. It would take some of the :ohno: out of ordering from them.
Yeah, I could say the same for quite a few other online retailers too. Amazon are about the only other site whose packaging I feel I can trust. I've never experienced anywhere as bad as Zavvi though... literally every item I've ever ordered from them has come damaged in one way or another.

Steels ?

I wonder how big the print run was. Do you think it was the min. 4000 or higher?

My hunch is 4000 because 1. Online no allocation left online 2. HMV doesn't have the credit rating for anymore with the supplier

The manager in my local store actually stopped me and asked what I was doing and why I was buying so many copies EEK! (took about 50% of the stock - i.e. everything worth buying!).

There was no question of her stopping me, she just seemed curious as much as anything - or perhaps she thought I was a bit odd??..

Funny :hilarious:

@ my HMV, they asked me if I wanted any more EEK!

My copy that I just ordered on the 25th just arrived here in Illinois. Minty Mint. Less than a week turn-around is pretty damn impressive. Now I need to go order that region-free Insignia player, unless has anyone actually tried to play this disc in a Region A player?

I guess that makes sense considering that can't afford to hold inventory with their issues they are having. They do make a good online place to order though. I am sure they will always have an online presence. I just see massive store closings in the near future for them.

the pink on this steel just fits so well with, the soundtrack and titles at the beggining of this film sounds odd but it just does.

I like the thought, but part of that is skewed given the number of new members that we've had join in the last few months. We have more people viewing the forum than ever before, on a consistent basis (which is a good thing). :scat:

And though all of those are popular there are also TONS of posts pertaining to shipment issues, 'I ordered too', 'I am waiting too', and other 'chime in' posts in the threads contributing to the crazy number of views and posts. Still those 3 threads were viewed for a reason-popularity,curiosity and plenty of speculation! :scat:

So the top two threads have one thing in common. Black steel!!! :scat:

Black is my favorite color BTW. Even though its technically not a color, but the abscence of light.

Yeah normally threads die down after release not with drive it just keeps going
A little bit of topic but how many members vist this forum on a regular basis like compard to this time last year? It looks like the forum is getting bigger

well i received it today and i m not that impressed. the cover is nice but there are many more beautiful steels out there and it hasnt inside cover..steelbook without an inside cover is just a shame....

i agree its a shame theres no insode artwork, but for £12.99 it would have been unreasonable to expect.
no printed logos, and a data sheet instead of printed data on the back.... gotta be a winner.

Just my speculation and not based on any scientific information and/or analysis - I believe that a majority of the increase in views and members can be attributed to a single source - BISCUITNOIR and his awesome unboxing videos! :scat::scat::scat:

Just my 2 cents.
