Maybe you should try reading what someone said before attacking them. I was MOSTLY agreeing with you.

3D versions where there is one should be included. I agree.

DVD copy....I could care less. I almost never use / need them anymore. If it keeps the price down they can nix the things for all I care.

If there IS a bonus disc YES it should be included. Most of the DVD bonus disc content that existed prior to blu ray Disney has been pretty good about porting it over to the single blu ray disc so an additional disc is not necessary.

I have been selling my blood and have a nice fellow from India interested in one of my kidneys.

There you go. You only need one. You still got plasma to sell.

Honestly though, the only thing you can do on a budget is be really selective.

I barely buy any steels anymore (except Disney and blufans). I just can't keep up these days.

Nowhere in my first response I said anything about including content where there wasn't any. I actually named an example to a release where there was extra content to (Jungle Book) that Zavvi chose not to include. My comment about one disc wasn't necessarily just on special features, which is why I added the dash, it was directed to all the 3D discs they chose to not include for every other release (not specific to Disney releases). The only Zavvi Disney release (that I know of) that had a 3D version was Little Mermaid... And they didn't include it... Now judging by that, cheaping out on Jungle Book when there was extra content available (see the release I linked to above which has 2 BDs packed full of extras), and their track record of mostly always going with one disc (I can't think of any with two or more at the moment, but I do remember seeing one on here earlier, unless I'm mistaken), I'm assuming even if there were extra features that warranted a separate BD, they probably wouldn't give it to us (unless of course, like I stated earlier, they are now changing their ways when it comes to that).

Damn y'all take it easy. We're talking about Disney releases. Think of the children!!! No fighting :p

And I mostly remember the spaghetti scene too lol

Haha, well it'll be like seeing it for the first time for us both again. One of the many advantages to having bad movie memory I guess :D. Actually, I barely remember any of the older Disney movies! Still really hoping they do a The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules release, since I do in fact remember loving those!

I'm sure my girlfriend would appreciate that suggestion :hilarious: I already have a hard time explaining my hobby of collecting steel books and keeping them sealed.

GF: "What's the point of buying them if you won't open them and watch them!"
Me:

Oh yeah. That's another thing. I only buy what I open now lol. If you can afford it it's nice to keep them sealed. Just like an art piece.

Pardon my blindness but I'm not seeing any link to a 2 disc blu ray set of Jungle Book and personally don't remember hearing about that one.

Love the front and inside art - inside especially is a huge upgrade from the previous standard of Disney releases. In agreement with most that the rear art is annoying - and lazy to be using the same image.

Interesting it's 6am here in the UK and I went to order the Dumbo stellbook. SOLD OUT!
Nice one..................

Where they are sold to family members of Zavvi......

there is a jungle book bluray for the uk that contains two discs but it includes both the 1st movie and the sequel so maybe that what he is talking about. the uk is known for having only 1 disc personally thats why i like the usa disney/pixar steelbooks because they allowed for 3d,2d,extras and dvd. i know most people could care less but alot of my friends dont have a bluray player so buying those combo packs really help.

I made Jungle Book clickable in the second sentence...

Anyway, not going to bother continuing this (whatever you want to call it) anymore as it's severely off-topic now, so this will be my last reply. I'm just going to stick with the bluray "wizards" Blufans/Kimchi/HDZeta from now on as those normally come complete  There are some of us who wouldn't mind paying a little more for quality, because if things continue the way they are, then they're probably going to continue one disc/no inside art/matte everything nonsense that we're seeing from manufacturers lately.

Maybe most people out there (we are a small percentage on HDN, after all) actually don't mind saving a few dollars for matte finishes, lack of 3D and/or any other extras (some people actually like getting a DVD copy that costs an extra few cents to manufacture as a bonus, despite you not caring for it, see the hypocrisy there?). I'll continue supporting the companies who show care to their customers and go out of their way to give us what we want (the bluray "wizards" mentioned above).

Last I'll add to this conversation. That set has no more features on the Jungle Book disc than the version Zavvi gave us in the steelbook does. The 2nd disc in that set is Jungle Book 2 and not bonus content for the first Jungle Book. It would have been nice if Zavvi had given us Jungle Book 2 but I'm not going to beat them up over not giving it to us.

Ah, forget it, it has both 1 and 2. My other points are still valid though, so I'll agree to just end this here (have yet to see a 2 disc anything from Zavvi, I guess only if they could fit onto one disc, which brings us back full circle to my original statement).

again...there is only ONE Jungle Book 1 disc in that french set. I can't prove it but it is likely the EXACT same disc image that Zavvi used. Based on it having the exact same laundry list of bonus content as the Zavvi version I am pretty sure that is the case. There is no issue of Zavvi cramming more on the disc here Ninja. The second disc in that set is not bonus content for the first Jungle Book it is the SEQUEL to Jungle Book.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you and I'm not a Zavvi apologist and will call them out when they do something stupid.....like not include the 3D Little Mermaid in that bland poor excuse for a steelbook the sold us.

Geek, I know, I saw that afterwards, please see my edit. We're all on the same side here, as you have pointed out. I just assumed that there may have been more to these Disney classics (which apparently there isn't) that they've held back on since I've known of these other releases with multiple discs. I think this is all just miscommunication as I wasn't only talking about bonus features (more so on releases that require more than one disc for a 3D release, which again, I only have Little Mermaid to go on for that in regards to their Disney classics, but just assumed since they've left it out on that and every other title besides their recent Thor 2, they probably won't do it in the future).

If it comes on one disc, Zavvi will do it :scat:. So I guess we're lucky they can fit whatever bonuses are out there on one disc, but yeah... Bring on combo packs/3D, lentis, or glossy finishes for 22 pounds, please. Or if you're going to go barebones, price it accordingly.
