Yup, interesting to see what they mean by Ultra Limited Print-run.

I'm expecting the run will be 4k, which I would say is just a standard low run.
This would make it less than Aladdin.
Using the word ultra seems a bit misleading to me, is 2K ultra low? Or is 500?

The little mermaid and jungle book were increased to 10K I believe, probably as Zavvi over estimated demand when Aladdin sold out.

There is a huge difference between over estimating and greed. Zavvi simply got greedy and I'm VERY happy it bit them in the ass. Terrible company.

Hahah making more supply when the demand on your last product was through the roof is hardly "greedy". It's simple business. Yes, they found that they probably raised it too high... But does that really make them a "terrible company"?

It might be something like 3999.

Still not bad. I would've been happy with 4/5K. Atleast it's average and not high. People ordered this before it was announced and alot of people have preordered now. I reckon by tonight when everyone gets home from work and checks the thread, it will be nearly gone.

I call BS on the Ultra Limited bit. Pure marketing to get people to buy into it. I reckon at least a 4-5K run on this, which of course IS limited but certainly not ''Ultra''.

Agreed, if you have a product which sells out. As a buisness common sense says you would increase the the volume available on the next release. Sure you can over estimate the demand but at the end of the day even when Zavvi were selling Jungle Book at £9.99 (as part of a link-save) it's likely they were still making some profit on them.

Perhaps what we have are two different philosphies, Zavvi want to sell as many as possible, whilst collectors want there to be as few as possible to potentially increase their value.

This is very interesting. I was up at 5.30am this morning and Zavvi said sold out of this steelbook. At 7am just before I left for work it was still saying sold out and yet when I got home at 8pm, it was now saying "Up for pre-order". Go figure. I assume whatever amount they press they will have to press an extra 20% to account of the ones wrecked in the post.
