This is very interesting. I was up at 5.30am this morning and Zavvi said sold out of this steelbook. At 7am just before I left for work it was still saying sold out and yet when I got home at 8pm, it was now saying "Up for pre-order". Go figure. I assume whatever amount they press they will have to press an extra 20% to account of the ones wrecked in the post.

Zavvi always lists their new products as "Sold Out" before they ever go live. It has not been officially sold out yet.

good taste. the second one with the purple curtains would be infinitely better than the choice zavvi has made. their front image doesnt even look like dumbo. it looks like a pirate copy and an unofficial drawing of dumbo.

the back is just recycled from the front. although this time the mouse is bizarrely levitating a few feet into the air.

i will buy dumbo regardless because its in my top 3 for best disney films, but the art chosen, to me, doesnt do dumbo justice.

According to another site peter pan is going live tonight and I quote

Animated classic Peter Pan is getting a Zavvi exclusive Steelbook release on February 10th.

Artwork is still TBC, but pre-orders will be live on the evening of November 9th (ignore the Sold Out button currently on the listing).

In reply, I got;

I am very sorry but we are unable to provide such information, as our suppliers have not actually specified this too us. I myself have had this arise quite often throughout the week and can only advise the previous message. I apologise for not being much help here but if there is anything else I can do please get in touch.

Of course Zavvi know the print run, it's the customer service rep that doesn't know. They probably read the listing, shrugged and then told you they didn't know. In other words, never listen to a customer service rep, they often don't know any more than we do!

Aladdin was more popular and orignally 4k and took a few days to sell out. Not to mention wreck it ralph at 5k. This is not very popular and 4K is quite alot. Many ES releases are great, 4K and still in stock. This will take atleast another few days to sell out in my opinion.

Dumbo is a Disney classic that moms and dads now in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s will buy for their kids and grandkids. Almost every generation in the past few decades grew up watching these Disney classics like Dumbo.

If Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Lady and the Tramp are all 4K, they will all sell out before release. But questioning the print run to be more than 4K only on the basis that it hasn't sold out in less than one day is pretty extreme.

This is popular with us but i mean the mainstream release. The films are all on netflix and have been available for a while. Star trek ES was 4K, and not a catalouge release. 4K is perfectly fine with me atleast its nothing crazy but I don't see it as limited But I agree, these will all sell out before release

Of course zavvi know the print run other wise they couldn't put if up for sale, say they sell 5k and then Disney turn around and say "oh sorry your only getting 4K"
