Seems to be a paypal interface issue due to traffic, and intermittently allows some requests through.

This can’t be a Paypal issue. I’m collecting posters and when they drop there is a real bloodbath with more copies and willing to buy on those drops , and never have I ever had simar issues with paypal

It's a HDN connecting to paypal issue. Too many requests in a short amount of time appear to get blocked by their server level, which basically thinks there's a flood attack happening.

As mentioned before, the best approach is to do a staggered go live time of listings, certainly not all at the same time.

That's been the situation that I've seen work without fail.

How about an enrolment thread that allows 'N' posts only and auto locks the thread when 'N' number of quantities allocated have reached and then later we receive invoice via PayPal?

Ok, so why it doesn’t fail for all websites who also have Paypal interfaces, like Collectong themselves. They definitely have more requests as they sell more copies in way shorter period if time. Paypal server seems to not fail for them. And many other websites with scheduled Drops, literally having thousands of requests in a very short period of time.
