Ok, so why it doesn’t fail for all websites who also have Paypal interfaces, like Collectong themselves. They definitely have more requests as they sell more copies in way shorter period if time. Paypal server seems to not fail for them. And many other websites with scheduled Drops, literally having thousands of requests in a very short period of time.

Because we're running custom code for the forums, not a webstore like shopify.

And also, reasons. I mean I'm not going to discuss the ins and outs with HDN server hosting with you, let alone on a public forum, LOL

Got it. It doesn’t really work anymore obviously. I think Paypal servers updated in a way that your code needs to be updated too.
Can it be an option to release GBs on HDN webstore or does it run the same code?

Well it doesn't work for a server load that includes scores of people all trying to get less than 20 copies allocated for a release...to be fair.

And it's not my code, it's someone else's effort that we use to integrate for the service of purchasing through the forum.

Finally, the person hosting the group buys for Manta, as you know, @Aniv, and he is hosting group buys here on his own, not on behalf of HDN.

It's always good to say, we appreciate his efforts on behalf of members here, given how much work it is to coordinate, take payments, and all of that.

Sure, we all appeciate what Aniv is doing and all his efforts. Too bad those efforts are a bit crushed lately by this code not working properly and people remaining frustrated and not very happy.

As I don’t have much experience in running webstores like this outside of my little website where I sell my prints using Shopify and having absolutely zero problems, I will just shut up and move on to order direct or try my luck with other GBs.

Well that's the difference right. Shopify will scale up the server based on users and load, but they only have the task of promoting purchases...which is apples and oranges to how this type of server that HDN is on, works.

I just wanted to say one last thing : even though HDN had issues with GBs and quantity allocation for some releases, I still think it’s the best resource and forum in the world for movie collectors. And I really appreciate what all people involved are doing to keep this forum well and alive.
