After watching the Ender's Game, I've got to say, this puts the death nail in to the coffin of critic opinion for me. The story, visuals and score were profound and long lasting. In my opinion, and my opinion alone, this movie was nearly perfect and is now on my list of favorites of all-time! :movie::drool:

I agree. I give it an 8/10 overall.

Seen it twice already, will have my 3rd viewing in a few weeks with some more friends who haven't seen it. Great film. Excellent score and visuals.

If you loved the movie, check out the book series. It turns the profound level up to eleven! (and the book's also significantly better in the ways the movie fails)

picked up a copy of this today. almost lost it when i left it in a shoe shop, went back after i realised and the store assistant had put it aside lol

i havent seen the film but all the hype from the artwork in here made it irresistable

The movie had some good effects and decent acting, but after such a long build up the ending was a real let down for a couple of reasons. However this is a thread about the steelbook, so which do the ninjas prefer, the HMV or Target steelbook?

Just noticed the Target version is 7.1 Master Audio! This is 5.1! Bummer :( Still one of my favourite steelbooks though.

I have the target version:LOL:

However, this steelbook looks amazing compared. Especially since mine has a big scratch in the gloss on the back

I agree, story, visuals and score were very good, i actually have nothing bad to say about this film, i did enjoy it but it wasn't a film i would watch again very often and that's why I said it was ok, it just didn't leave me wanting to watch it again any time soon.. i haven't watched it on blu ray yet so that will be an experience in itself. I did think that it was a great family film and is something that i would enjoy watching with my partner and son:scat: that together with a beautiful steelbook was well worth the money:D

although there was some early difficulty and interruption in the packing process!!!

It was tempting to just seal the box up on him and send him off anyway the awkward little git!!!
hope this helps a few ninjas out, i will check to see if the Guildford store has any more tomorrow if i get the time but think they only had unsealed copies used for display left.
hope everyone that wants a copy gets a copy.

thats so funny.. thats exactly what my cat did.. its even more funny when they try to settle down in a box thats way too small for them:D

Yeah, me too - I went to pack some things up for David and this is what I end up with!

Silly cats! :p

im surprised how cheap this is going for on ebay,

Good job cos I never had a chance to get one in store. Any shops local to me were cleaned out on day one!

And I'm glad that scalpers aren't making much. Might dissuade them from doing these raids on stores that leave no copies for regular buyers.

I think the problem is buying so many and being impatient. Ebay is totally overcrowded with them that there's always an auction behind going at a cheaper price. I think it will go up in price eventually so if you do have to resort to ebay then the sooner the better

It will only dissuade new sellers or those who want to make a quick buck....this will rise in price and this is the best time to buy it relatively cheap compared to missing out in stores. Ebay auctions at present are only slightly higher than GB price.
All uk expensive steelbooks were making little money at the beginning, so dont mistake these early days as a sign of this steelbook will stay cheap.

Despite not really enjoying the movie, the steelbook in the flesh is just absolutely stunning, and glad I managed to pick up a copy for my OH on the cheap. The finish is incredible, and the embossing... *drool*
