Well, in case this really gets an uncut release in Germany I would expect it to end on the index list, what would mean that amazon and most mail order shops located in Germany won't have it as far as I know, so it could get a rare item.

Chances are this will be the same art as CA/US as it is also distributed by Sony in germany as well... For that matter the steel will most likely be the same globally as everywhere is distributed by Sony with the exception of the UK and France, and Sony have a rep for using the same art globally...

I'm pretty sure, sony will back off from the steelbook release anyway, as soon as the fsk denies the blu ray release an fsk 18 rating for the uncut version (which is very likely by the way).

CeDe now lists it with "Strictly Limited Edition 2 Disc Steelbook - Uncut Kinoversion". Maybe they won't be allowed to sell the uncut version in Germany? So this may become a rarity after all?
Glad I pre-ordered one.

No worries - the blue banner on top is only on the banderole/backpaper ;) It's also noticeable on bottom with the yellow text.

Well no, sale is allowed in Germany, thing is that most retailers don't offer Spio/jk Versions anymore (Amazon lists the Uncut Version but normally they don't sell them) Saturn doesn't sell them, Media Markt doesn't sell them, in fact the only store I know that does still sell them is Müller. And the risk that the movie is going to be indexed at a later Point is very high, but even after that the sale in Special online Shops and under the counter is allowed. Only public sale is forbidden.

Hmmm, I'm wondering which one is best to get? This or the UK release?

Different artwork from different distributors. I wonder if there's a chance the Sony Steelbook could be embossed (Like the 2 variations of Jango Unchained) as I can't see the UK StudioCanal one being anything special??
