I agree, but still for some weird reason they dont sell or are not as valuable as other steels from other countries and i still till this day do not understand why? Example, Zero Dark thirty was hard to come by and you would think by now people would be able to sell them on ebay for about 80 a pop, but yet they go for about 50 a pop

It seems like limited editions in the US are actually limited this year whether it be digibooks or steelbooks (except the Warner releases of course). If you dont get one on the day or week of, it will be difficult obtain. I like it like that.

Stoughton Mass. had 5 copies up front, I didn't check out back. First copy had an almost imperceptible spine slash. The next two I looked at were mint so grabbed them both. The cashier surprisingly knew about the steelbook and asked if I was there today specifically for it. Nice looking steel in hand.

Yes that the cashier in my store actually tried to explain the "new metal" packaging to me was surprising yet refreshing. They have them in the protective cases instead of the spider webbing.

The Target stores around me ROCK Of course this is after years of coaching their employees

That is true but think it is due to the fact that the titles are not really popular. I dont think ZDT or Les Miserables will be on too many wish lists for the average consumer or new collector in the future. And Django US is at the bottom of the totem pole for steel releases worldwide. But still, $45-$50 for a movie that origionally cost $20 isnt bad lol. Evil Dead doesnt seem like its going to be so popular as well.

Well we saw a similar trend for the Disney SteelBooks by Best Buy. I remember seeing a bunch of those in the stores and then even after two years, some were going for $50-60 (release date price was $29.99 if I remember correctly). It's a different story now - most are well over $100.

Anyway, this is another super nice release by Sony - glossy finish gives it a high end feel. The inside artwork could have been better, IMO but that is easily rectified

WOW what a gorgeous release I wish more releases were this good looking. I was a little worried as I didn't make target until an hour and half after they opened (did a birthday brick ride and run with my friend for his 38th birthday of 35 mile bike and 3 mile run so I was running a little late). They still had plenty at my target.

i went to a target close to my house at opening, to my surprise there were only 5 and when i was checking for a perfect condition one, i asked the person in charged of the section if there were more in the back and he said not! as soon as i got my copy there were another 3 GUYS looking for it; and that was with the first 5 minutes, maybe is going to be as limited as ZDT...who knows..all i know i got my perfect copy......by the way the color is great, very similar to Scar face...

This is definitely not as limited as ZDT

Also the Target.com site is now listing this at $19.99 so if you cannot make it to the store anytime soon and are afraid of dents incurred during shipping, improve your chances by ordering more than one copy

First two Targets had none. The guy at the first said people were there at opening to get them, and I was only there 2 hours later! The third one had at least 10 though. A pain to get but I only spent $18.12 with Cartwheel and Red Card for a high gloss steel! One of my favorite steelbooks, would've been perfect with a debossed title though!

I dont know if my local target only had 2 copies left or if that is all they got in... but i got sooo lucky and got the last 2 copies and i used 2 coupons for both movies

Target in Katy, at Fry Road had 5 copies. None of them out on the shelves, but i did get two surprisingly mint copies, since they hadn't been put in the security boxes yet.

Anyway, great steel. I'm glad i went.

it is a major shortage for these in gerorgia every target literaly had only 4 to 5 of them and some stores havent even got there shipments in really irratated with this right now and also futureshop is completely solded out WTF is going on

Another option to acquire one is to buy online which has a separate SKU for the SteelBook than the amaray. Good luck and happy hunting!

Got one today...had about 5 up front by the cashiers. They had them inside a plastic anti-theft case that looked like it had crushed the top, but it was only the paper card bunched, looks mint, now to watch the movie.

same with the one I went too...The 5 were behind the normal Blu-Ray copies that were also in the anti-theft cases
