Don't know where scariest film of the year came from. Saw it this afternoon. Lot's of blood and guts and the odd jump scare but very very bland tbh. Enjoyable enough through.

If you like gore, this movie is hell bent on delivering it. It almost made the NC-17 movie rating because it is very gory. I can attest as I saw it this past week. I like the fact that this particular movie has no comedy in it. It's intent is to deliver sheer terror. I'll definitely be getting this.

Can't remember the exact bits but there was a couple of bits that made me giggle. But more in a 'you're kidding, right?' kinda way.

If you watch the red band trailer pretty much all the gory bits are in that - IMO the film wasn't scary at all.

It's worth seeing but I didn't think it was as good as the original

Are you kidding? The film is almost non-stop gore. The trailer contains a fraction of the gory bits. I like the original but they're different stories with different characters. And I personally found this far scarier than the original. I'd compare it to the French film INSIDE as far as over-the-top, relentless experiences go.

I'm definitely getting this unless we get the steel in the US.
