Yeah, this would have been hell of a collection if every steelbook's quality would had been like Aladdin's. What a letdown so far.

Is it just too expensive to make every steelbook glossy finish or something?

And Aladdin was the cheapest! They've raised the prices but lowered the standard

But To stay on topic the back of this steelbook is one of the worst I've seen!

Was on the fence about this one regarding the back artwork. I am happy I went with my gut feel and removed it from my cart before submitting the other Disney steelbooks for order.

This will not sell out anytime soon considering the price and backlash at this point. Time to wait it out for inevitable price drop like Jungle Book and The Little Mermaid only because I want to get a nice Disney collection.

Perhaps I'll mask out the grey blur and paint it with black myself so that it looks the way it should've been with the blue melding into the black!

Colours are nice, but it was screaming out for gloss!

These images need removing as they actually make the steel look passable when in reality it is plain awful!

I think it would have worked if they had used the same colour from the front cover rather than black. It would have blended much better that way.

Ugh, it's pretty obvious what happened with that back cover - lazy designer + ignorant and blasé management/whoever ok'd the final design.

Whoever designed this couldn't find a decent stock image to use on the back, so s/he takes one which would work with a plain background and just (badly) feathers the edges. Doesn't look too bad on a screen unless you know what to look for, and probably fed those in charge with a line about it making it look like Mickey is glowing.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I have to deal with at work and which is why WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS

This is the worst Disney steelbook yet. The front wasn't all that bad, but that back is just terrible. Obviously they didn't bother consulting an artist before greenlighting this. A shameless waste of metal.

That's why I didn't bother picking up Twelve Monkeys (I'm talking about the steelbook here, not the 13 prostitutes)

Wow another matte finish, collection cancelled now, they need to take a look at how kimchi and blufans do it or they can just make them like aladdin again until that happens I'll not being anymore of this over price crop.
