There's always this in the meantime (or for all time) from France as a possible FNAC exclusive :-
If that turns out to be the WWA glad I went with Blufans WEA as thats just shockingly sh*t
I don't think it'll look bad if glossy finish to make those gold coins stand out against the deep black surroundings. Any other finish will not do justice to the artwork and the black could end up looking charcoal.
Anyway, truth to tell, I think I prefer the black/gold steelbook to the "white":-

EDIT 31/1/17:-
The steelbook for France has been changed from the "white" so presumably the black steel is now THE international meaning that's the one we're getting here in the U.K.(?).
Hopefully our black edition will not have the 3D logo on the front !

Warner Bros and the Harry Potter universe... this will no doubt see a million different releases over the years, so I wouldn't worry too much about not liking the artwork on this first edition, as we'll no doubt have plenty more choice sooner or later.
Don't know about main character as not seen film but he's important enough to have a separate steelbook release in France with his own figurine:-

Wouldn't mind having one of these at home with finding treasure being one of its magical abilities . . . and that's despite its reputation for being destructive in the home environment and its predeliction for anything shiny. Memo to self: keep it away from the shiny steelbooks.
Being on the front stands to reason that it won't be happy if this steelbook is not glossy.
