There's lots for me to be disappointed about with this release but that Macusa poster is my absolute favourite art for this movie. I'll get the 4K fullslip if it's not holofoil.

Holofoil works for something like Ready Player One but would just ruin the art in this case. That's my threshold.

Looking over this again and cross referencing this back to BF’s edition, im actually more inclined to favour the Manta Lab Premium. There is actually quite a few things to like for one the steel is gorgeous with the wraparound artwork and should look amazing in Manta Gloss and debossed title. Second the artwork on the FS is one or if not my most favourite artwork for the film. Thirdly the OC is more inline than Blufans to resemble Newt’s Briefcase as Manta have used the correct inner lining artwork and on the flap there is printed (embossed?) clasps aswell only thing missing is the handle which hopefully gets added in at a later date. Now if Manta play there cards right and put their innovative skills to good use they will use faux leather for the material on the OC box just like they did on their The Revenant Leather FS This could hold some weight as if you refer back Manta’s October update they mention “We are having a bit of hard time with the sampling and production for the box at the moment.”

So there you have it I think I have repositioned myself back in the Manta camp for FB and now understand what threw me off to begin with, the “framed” back artworks on both Slips as I’m not the biggest fans of them but I feel the 3 points above outway the niggles I have for the overall package. Also look forward to seeing how Manta tackle turning a 1/4 Slip into a lenticular as far as I’m aware this hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Yeah I would have to agree as it seems like the most likely and best scenario since they haven’t released a full BS for the 1/4 or the OC yet ...

BF did FS, SL and DL. There were 2 DL, the one that was sold within the OC was 4k only, so just 1 disc. There was a DL that was for sold individually, it contained all 3 discs (4k, 3D, BD)... that's the UE.

I must have misread, Sam I don’t recall any edition having 3D. Though I’ve only really Benn properly looking for a copy of this for the last 12months. After misreading it was easy for me to discount BF seeing a smile they were all sold out anyway and prices were nuts on eBay.

Going by the interest and people already owning the BF edition/s this looks like it will be pretty easy to grab in a restock if I have a change of heart and favour this over Blufans once some Live Photos get uploaded.

That’s what am hoping.
Depending on price, I may do the one click - that full slip art keeps growing on me....dammit.
EDIT: not the OC, don’t want the 1/4, but do like the look of the FS as well as lenti.

Thanks for that.....I recall seeing the BF 4K but for some reason didn’t realise it had 3D as well(I wasn’t looking properly).
However am still not fond of the front steelbook artwork on BF.
Much prefer Manta’s choice(swapping the artworks round for the lenti, basically)

That single lenti of BF though....don’t want to offend anyone so am not going to say anything(can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all)

I rarely like group shots on steelbooks(think Ragnorok and Black Panther are the only Group shots I like and chose to go for. Group shots are for lentis IMO )
