sadly with many TV manufacturers taing 3d off the newer TVs i think 3d is dying especially in the US. I really enjoy 3d too but 4k will be the way forward it appears

I see it no different than dvd to be honest. Wake me up when dvd is dead. The majority of the world still use dvd. You can still buy 3D sets and there is going to be a 4K projector that also does 1080p 3D for under $4000 this year. I actually thought 4K would be moving faster than it is. No format war, cheap 4K TV entry level and cheap 4K players. Much different than back in the format war days.

I agree. I am looking for the 3D version. Will import that from Europe.

I Will either get the 3D Amaray from Amazon, and this will get a few premium Releases(pretty sure) including the 3D (as Blufans will do).
The HMV UK Exclusive steel includes the 3D, I am sure there will be more out there that will include the 3D.

I only get 4K when it comes with the 3D, if not I will try to get a release without it.

I posted the same message on Best Buy US website "No 3D=No For Me" on The boxset for Kubo/ParaNorman/Coraline and a few other releases and each time I have been assaulted by others with disparaging comments.

Journalists have ensured US consumers HATE 3D (many of whom have probably never seen a 3D film on Bluray). I was of the same persuasion until I bought my 4K TV which happened to have 3D. :( So sad!

Its sad that if you dont agree with somone pushing a product you get bashed. Its all about money.

I like 3D.

16 of the top 20 highest grossing movies of all time are in 3D so it won't be going anywhere for awhile.

I refuse to support 4K though.

Problem is, the fact you provided just shows that studios can make any movie 3D just to improve profits. Not every movie should be in 3D. Most of the time, it doesn't enhance the viewing experience IMO. I saw The Force Awakens in 3D, found the picture darker in 3D than non-3D and that 3D added nothing. Just another gimmick to make people spend more.
