Surely that is discrimatory. Zavvi cannot cancel your order because of where you reside. Thats nonsense. If theydo not wish to offer their services to a country, then they would simply exclude your destination in the registration process.

I say order.

of course it is...
but seems that´s the way to go for Zavvi at the moment..?
3+4 can´t be ordered to a german address and lots germans already got cancellation emails for 1+2

of course no word from zavvi yet and even @digitalbabe doesn´t seem to have any info although she emailed them yesterday afternoon already and posted lot´s other zavvi news today...

Its probably due down to the fact that they still sell the Fast steelbooks on amazon.de.

first of all this is... again.. only the explanation they are not available from Zavvi.de .. only coming from the .de branch

and tbh.. I call it a BS excuse.. the FF SteelBooks on amazon.de are NOT THE SAME.. (and available for years being formerly MM exclusives)
+ Universal is selling 100% identical SteelBooks of Lucy / Dracula / Black Lagoon / American Grafitti / Meaning of Life / Wild at Heart and countless others in Germany and Zavvi still ships these to german customers as well..

@TobGud I have not heard any other specifics on this question, which is why no updates have been posted. Maybe there are selling restrictions on these items by the studio which can dictate how and where products are sold? If we do receive any other info directly, I'll post.

thanks.. it´s like they don´t want people to know what´s going on....?
I´m sure they´ll post some kind of bs excuse like that sooner or later...
personally I seriously doubt it.. just for one country..? for a rererere-release.. without any warnings..? while they´ve got DOZENS others from Universal (which are 100% identical to geman version) still shipping to germany as well...
I´m sure they´l loose LOTS of business if they´ll go down this road.. but maby that´s what they want..?

I´ve never ever heard of ANYTHING even remotely like that from ANY other retailer EVER.. it´s like asking for customers to take their business elsewhere.. but again.. maby that´s what they´re actually asking here..?

other forums already have people (with their FF 1+2 already cancelled) reporting cancelling all their orders/wanting to close their accounts and/or wanting to be very selective who to order from in the future..
and quite frankly... the minute they´d confirm this I´ll MOST DEFINITELY cancel most of my pre-orders ...I won´t say I won´t order again.. but anything I can get elsewhere... I´ll buy over there... and other exclusives I´ll have to think very very hard if I really want to give them any more of my money..

@TobGud sure thing, definitely everyone's prerogative to act according to their preferences and level of frustration. Retailers have restricted where products can be shipped in the past (Media Markt, Futureshop, etc). Who knows, maybe these will be released in Germany down the road, and hence the restriction from studio not to sell UK versions to Germany. Sorry, all guesses, I have no other direct info to share.

none of these ever had any restrictuions just for a very few items and just for ONE COUNTRY... that´s most definitely a first....
MM and Futureshop simply just don´t ship out of the country because they´re not set up for international business.. that´s something completely different

Understood that these are different, but there are stores or private sellers on the largest marketplaces that do not sell to specific countries (like on Ebay where you can block locations). And with some of the stores that do restrict, that is not the only reason why international shipping is not avail. I mentioned that studios have the right to restrict where a product can be sold, because they do, not to compare every situation where that is the case. Hopefully the restriction can be lifted in the future for other releases, and or, these are released in Germany. You could also ask a UK member to help you.

@TobGud Are you sure the restriction is not coming from Germany?

The reason I ask is because the US began instituting restrictions in some countries last year making it difficult to order from US sites. My country was one of the countries that was blocked. I can only order from Marketplace if they offer worldwide shipping.

def a strange one never heard of one country being blocked before like @TobGud its one thing to not offer international shipping but to block a single country that's different @digitalbabe you cant include ebay that's 90% private sellers i know your just being political with your answers but zavvi aren't even given a actual reason.

Best case scenario Germany gets the same line released there but still doesn't make sense to block them from zavvi, failing that cant you order them from Japan and Czech Republic still?

Folks, a few unnecessarily rude and accusatory comments have been removed. We do not have any additional info as to why certain shipping locations were not available to ship these products, as has been mentioned a few times-a few guesses were posted as done by other members, because 'restrictions' (in general) have been seen for years, for various retailers. If any other direct info becomes available we will post. Please feel free to direct further questions to the retailer selling the product. Thanks all.

The only explanation I have , is quite simple, there are too many customers from Germany that have tried to order it. The Blu has 6 different Dubbing Languages and 2000 copies are around, maybe is this an argument. Sorry for the comment!
