Just thought the forum might like to be aware Universal are playing silly buggers with this release in the US & Canada (so likely here too).
The extended Directors Cut (F. Gary Grey's preference and 13-minutes in F&F 8) will
only appear on the Digital HD version, and not the physical discs as per previous F&F films.
Considering the high price of the Zavvi 4k Steelbook and the initial US press coverage (presumably at least in part authored by Universal) which suggested the Directors Cut
would be included on the physical media, it strikes me as pretty shoddy sharp practice by Universal if you ask me.
According to the cinemablend interview, it seemed to suggest even the Director thought the Directors Cut was on the disks!.
If this too is the case in the UK, part of me hopes potential buyers will realise they're being at least in part short-changed, vote with their wallets and boycott this Universal title in protest.
