There have been some amazing steelbooks this year for sure.

My favorites are:

Tangled Kimchi Lenticular - Amazing lenticular slip. Ultra thick glossy finish. Gorgeous quality print on steelbook. Some nice extras. Numbered and very limited.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Zavvi - Beautiful deep red color with excellent choice of artwork. Fantastic embossing and debossing. High gloss finish. #1 best back cover of any steelbook ever made so far. Low 3K print run.

Kick Ass 2 (Germany and UK) - Gorgeous color palette. High quality gloss finish with high quality print job. Eye catching artwork choices front and back. Germany gets extra point for debossed title.

Oz the Great and Powerful (Blufans lenticular) - Nice lenticular slip. Ultra high quality print job and high gloss finish. Epic and collector worthy front-to-back wrap around artwork. Awesome inside artwork. Numbered and low print run at 2K.

Honorable mentions:

Monsters University Kimchi Lenticular - Amazing lenticular with perfect choice of artwork. Numbered and extremely limited at 500 total copies (250 + 250). Steelbook is only so-so and not exclusive so this one loses points in that regard.

Aladdin Zavvi - Great colors and nice catchy artwork. Excellent high gloss finish. Nice front embossing. Limited to 5K (which is decently limited for a popular Disney title)

The World's End (UK) - Nice fiery color palette. High gloss finish. Great artwork choices inside and out. Must have been pretty limited to sell out so fast.

And if I HAD to pick ONE single release... at gun point, arm twisted... eyelids being pulled back, the 2013 steelbook release that I would be MOST disappointed if it was taken from my collection... the steelbook I would be MOST excited to show my friends if I wanted to impress them best... would have to be....

Tangled Kimchi Lenticular :champ: (with Blufans Oz coming in at a close 2nd).

As much as I try I don't think I can beat Zavvi WFRR. Kimchi T2 & HD Zeta LOA run it very close. Then again I really like BF Face Off. I think any of these would be a worthy winner.

Tricky, but 'll have to say a tie between Roger Rabbit, Finding Nemo and Aladdin not only for being three great steels but for pretty much launching the ship that is Zavvi Disney steels.

The Wolverine HMV 3-d release

Fantastic design, great use of finished and non-finished metal, and the quarter slip hangs perfectly.

Honorable mentions to - U.S. Best Buy Fast and Furious six movie set (great looking together), Kimchi T2 (great build, generic cover design), Dredd 3-d Japan (excellent cover, dull colors), and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns animated U.S. (?) Target exclusive (great build, good coloring, decent cover design)
