Wasn't that bad tbh , but can't see what all the hype is about .
Book was much more intense, and complex. Sadly they did not take the risks they should have on screen due to crushing pressure and internal strife in production apparently....another story of trying to sell more tickets and demolishing source....what's new, lol.

There's a strong Rumor going on:
Jamie Dornan Quits Fifty Shades Of Grey

Jamie’s wife of two-years Amelia Warner is extremely uncomfortable with the raunchy sex scenes he shares with co-star Dakota Johnson, according to Australian magazine NW.

HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Jamie’s rep and we are waiting to hear back.

Jamie also recently spoke about his wife’s discomfort in an interview with the Evening Standard. He explained, “(Amelia) hasn’t seen the film and I don’t think she will, to be honest, I’d understand if she didn’t want to.”

“I think there’s some stuff where my family and friends will never have seen that side of me before,” he told the paper. “But it wasn’t enough to make me not want to do it.”

Even though Jamie is glad he signed on for the first film, it looks like it could be his last.

This is one of those things that I'm kind of curious about. Because its so popular. And yet I also hear how much the books suck and the movie sucks. I get that sex sells, but why this and not he hundreds of other sources of porn/romance/whatever out there. What makes this so popular? I don't foresee reading the book, but I'll probably watch this at some point down the line just to see. Interestingly, my wife doesn't care one bit about this movie.

I couldn't tell you, either.

All i can say, is that i know a few women who seem to be positive about the book, but don't like the "film" at all. It doesn't seem to be due the usual "book rules / movie sucks" reasons, though. From what i know myself -(and i'm not going into detail here...)- the depiction of BDSM in the book is a lot more realistic and accurate than it is in the film. DB seems to be spot on in her comment above, seeing how these people would rather glamorize it for the sake of giving it some Hollywood panache to sell more, as opposed to creating a more accurate and less "exciting" (for the common folks...) atmosphere.

I went into the theater expecting not to like it..it kept my attention and was interesting...I didn't read the book though and I've heard from the people that did that it could have been a lot more intense, lacked-some depth and storylines that were in the book but maybe wanted to play safe with a theater-audience. Still it left me wondering...what happens next...and that ending didn't make it any better!

I got curious, so gave it a watch. What a load of crap... I can't understand the hype at all. Dakota Johnson was quite nice to look at though. :p

My facebook feed has been full of females saying how "bad" this is. Few guy friends said they just giggled throughout. I think I'll give it a shot at some point as well.
