Annoyingly you only get 3 of the 5 (at random) Pokémon style trading cards. That’s so stupid just include all 5. What difference does 2 more cards make. Blows my f**king mind
That's really dumb, trading cards are called that exactly because they were meant to be traded, but they were originally sold in packs of 8+ in cheap blister packets at convenience stores, something you grabbed instead of a gum, or to go with your snack, for relatively cheap.
Do they really expect people to buy more than one copy of a £30 Blu-ray because of these cards?

Nice little set. Booklet is amazing

I plan on picking this up in the next few weeks

Just got mine through today... No Cat card

Me neither. I got Capybara, Dog and Lemur Monkey. No cat.

Set is really nice. Solid hard slip. Art book is the best extra. Tons of pages with loads of decent info. Print quality isn't super high and the slipcase might have benefited from being gloss. Overall I'm pleased. It's about the same quality as an Arrow collectors box...maybe a touch better because of the comprehensive art book and much more colourful.

I mean. It's a toss up for this or the Criterion to be honest. Depends if you prefer a hard slip and extras or one with the inclusion of the directors first film. Both have benefits.

Proof or we won't believe a word of it.
It’s in a vault… Sealed

I got mine a few days back but been busy and not got around to photos (mainly due to the heat) and I’m out all weekend so maybe I’ll post some if I get time over the weekend. First time I’ve visited the thread since I posted that video and didn’t realise so many got the same

It is a lovely set, with one of the best booklets I think I've seen in a long time.

I know most don't jive with too much holofoil use, but I do wish they'd used a smidgen on the slipcase. I feel it's crying out for it and a touch of spot gloss. Other then that. It's pretty much on the number.
Glad you got the Cat card. It might even be deliberately rare.

Finally watched it and I can’t stop thinking about it. Incredible film. Stunning too

Not saying I need answers but this was my thoughts after.

I didn’t realise it was going to be so biblical and heavily influenced and have hidden meanings of religion. The bird is clearly a fallen Angel, the ark and flood like Noah, the whale (or that other mythical creature that begins with a L). Remains of human civilisation but what stuck with me was Buddhist like structures and temples. But also other elements of structures of worship and religions like Christianity in the more developed city. Even the cat statue stuff that it’s possible owner made? Worshiping similarities like the Egyptians. There’s also a rapture element and is that what also happened to the humans? And the other thing that got me was is this even earth? Or an alternate earth or planet? None of it even matters but it got me thinking how incredibly layered this film is. Is it even for kids? Lol

I also couldn’t work out if the whale in the end credit scene meant there was another flash flood and it survived (it stops breathing for the final minute though) or if (and because it clearly helped them out twice as if those 5 animals were supposed to survive) it had gone to a version of heaven. Because the bird saves the cat near the start and specifically drops it on the boat to be saved. is the cat Jesus?

Incredible film
