The U.S. one is crappy streaky black matte (which is strange after the glossy first one) so I'd be surprised if this is any different. But, you never know....

I've seen a review and yeah it's a Matte finish but I hear it's not too bad in hand

Should add that I prefer a Matte finish on mostly black cover art
