The clear plastic shell cases that Tony sells and includes one for you to try (has kimchidvd etched on it) does fit the lenticular cases.

The frozen clear slip that was a preorder gift and also with thor : the dark world is designed for a naked steelbook only. Basically the standard Korean title has the steelbook with this clear slip on it and then sealed. Tony is giving you the standard korean clear slip along with the kimchi package so you've got the best of both worlds.

this is not a complaint, but i wish that the clear slip was made to fit over both versions. it would have been a nice touch.

i wonder if we'll ever see a steelbook, in a 1/4 slip, in a full slip, in a box slip, with a clear slip to protect the box slip, protecting the full slip, protecting the 1/4 slip, protecting the steelbook;)

The detail on that slip is stunning. Rest of World take notice!!!

I rate this slip a tie between the Thor TW one. Both are different, yet they are both PERFECT!!!

We have just witnessed the two best quarter slips in the history of steelbook collecting in a matter of 7 weeks. Pretty damn incredible!!!

With the Kimchi slip only 300 printed I expect this one to become grail status ahead of the lenticular in a year or so when the hype of these lenticulars die down. The 1/4 slip has and will always be for the die hard who have unlimited funds.

Totally agree !!!

and on top of Kimchi and blufans having the same image as lenticular, the 1/4 slip will in time be saught after... same as Thor

Every single 1/4 slip Kimchi has done is damn near perfect. Whoever is designing these slips deserves a big pat on the back. Its what all of us 1/4 slip collectors wanted. Beautiful designs that add to the look of the steelbook when sealed. I just hope Kimchi keeps on making 1/4 slips for every exclusive down the road. I will buy them all if Tony wants me too. :scat:

what is your opinion on Thor 1/4 slip though, for that release I feel it was so much bigger than Frozen and so many 1/4 slips out and all the copies had the same steel or pictures, I'm not feeling the 1/4 slip on that one that much, the Kimchi is nice but I think their lenticular is the winner on that specific release... what do you think ??? it's just on that lenticular we see again that same picture everywhere and it's what kinda pops up...

what do you think ?

I think the slip on the Thor 1/4 slip looks amazing. The problem is the TW slip came out and it blew it away. Its hard to think the Kimchi one is not good because that TW one is the best 1/4 slip ever made. Had that TW version not come out you would likely feel much different about the Kimchi one.

I totally agree with you, even though Kimchi has that special something especially with the numbered card and natalie Portman looks so amazing on the back of the Thor Kimchi with the side of the 1/4 slip being darker... but TW is the one I cherish the most as a favourite...although in therms of Lenticular Kimchi is the one for Thor...I think it's because we don't see that steelbook that's been overused, the Tw takes your eye away from it and shows you something else special about that release...

Its good for you 1/4 slip collectors as it seems they keep out doing the previous ones. I prefer the full slip Lenticular my self but i do appreciate the nice ones and have a few in Thor: the Dark World & Iron Man 3, both Taiwan.

I am just happy that we get to have both as I am also very fond of the lenticulars. I think Thor is the best full slip lenticular, but I think Predator GERMANY is the best lenticular ever made.

I look back at when I started collecting and I think to myself , man is this an exciting time to be a premium steelbook collector.

I actually am seeing a shift of people moving towards the more premium Asia releases and leaving the UK versions in the dust. Zavvi is responsible for this whether you want to believe it or not. They should have decided to go the extra mile and pay a little more for each release. All those disneys should have been premium with full gloss just like zavvi's first with Aladdin. They have a say in how much they want to pay. Its all about pinching pennies and they over pinched and now it cost them an entire market.

Its gonna take some time for zavvi to have their trust regain by collectors. The last 3 Disney's are a good start. They need to keep up with it and I think they will as I believe they have no other choice. There is only so much dollars each month a collector can spend and if they move to the more premium product in Asia they have no choice but to stop buying the cheap stuff in the UK. Just common business sense.

Maybe by 1/4 collectors.:p

Like jeffster said, if you like 1/4 slip then that is cool. For me they are pointless and serve no purpose really as most of the time all it is is the title. That being said I have 2 1/4 slips from the US.

Miss March and Suicide Girls.

I agree with you I love full slip(like it's been said Thor is one of the nicest one and I love my Monsters University kimchi exclusive both james and sully are so freakin adorable with their exclusive school cards lol)), some are so beautiful, but we can't dismiss the 1/4 slip as they are often very limited. most of the rarest Asian releases are 1/4 slip....and end up being grail releases...so it really depends what you like and what you will love in your bookshelf. As long as you are happy with your steel, that you feel it's beautiful than it's all good.

I mean, I was not interested in a particular 1/4 slip and I've fell in love with one and now(and so surprised that I fell for it) bought a bunch of copies at premium and again another month I have to eat lightly lolll

I totally agree with what you are saying with Zavvi... I have 3 Captain america reserved(I regret with all the Thors that were released to have ordered the Zavvis) but if I see all the other releases are using the same steel and dressing it up differently, I'll cancel my Zavvis if not to pass a message.. best way to pass a message to a company is with your wallet.
